Bought this for a mini road trip (2 and a half hours) and it leaked all in my car! When I bought it I saw a review that it leaked for one other person and thought that it was only because it may have been defective. With that in mind I checked the cap before putting ice in it and it still happened!!! So disappointed in YETI. You would think that paying 200+ dollars on something you would expect a higher quality, however, looks like Walmart’s 2.00 styrofoam coolers hold up better than this. Thanks for the water damage YETI.

I was highly disappointed with my purchase mainly because the quality did not live up to the price. Everything I heard about Yeti’s made them sound nearly magical in their ability to keep ice. I went camping last weekend and my sister’s Coleman retained the ice just as well as my Roadie 20 (less than 48 hours). I did well to keep it out of the sun, have a good ice/content ratio, and to not open too frequently and it apparently made no difference. I contacted Yeti because I actually thought there was a manufacturing defect in my cooler and they told me that the smaller coolers are not meant to keep ice as long. If that is the case, I think the Roadie 20 is wildly overpriced. I guess there is still a chance that mine is defective but the return window is lapsed so I’ll never know.

Honestly, this doesnt seem any better than any other similar cooler, just more expensive. Over all it looks great and serves its purpose. Maybe I was expecting miracles. It is well made and easy to handle but it doesnt retain ice any longer than any other brand name

Bought this a couple of years back and used it a handfull of times and thank God I used a gift certificate and not much of my hard earned cash. Not sure its just a brand name thing like Apple…but I am not impressed by what all the hoopla says it does. The couple of times I’ve used it has been in around 50-60 degree weather and almost freezing at night (left out on the picnic table). Both times every thing I put in it was prechilled and low and behold…it gets about a day and a half worth and then the ice is melted…well there are about pea size chunks floating around hear and there. I’m pretty sure a $30-40 igloo can do that as well, plus they arent as damn heavy! Not sure how people are doing it with 4-5 day claims unless they just fill it full of ice with nothing in it…(thats probably how they test them). The handle pinches if you arent careful…and very awkward to carry. Heavy. Rubber latches are kind of a pain…why not just have some kind of hydrolic snap latch system for this price? Looks cool though. Have mixed thoughts when I am seen with it….”do I look cool because I have a Yeti” or “do I look like a jackass that paid 2 times what he should have” for plastic, spray foam and aluminum rod? At least I got it cheap.

This cooler is not worth the money, for the price of this cooler you might expect it to have been made with quality craftsmanship… but spoiler its not, since day 1 it has leaked from the drain plug and lid. I replaced the drain plug and set it so tight it can’t be removed but wont leak. But the lid has a gasket that doesnt even reach the cooler and can seal. I am verry disappointed with this purchase and will no longer purchase Yeti products because of this poor quality product.

Small but keeps everything absolutely chilled for a long time. It’s been great for keeping food and drinks chilled while at the beach, the pool, fishing, or a road trip. Even when mounted outside of my Jeep in the hot sun, the inside has stayed cool, and ice has remained ice.Make sure it’s cooled before using and perhaps opt for a reusable ice pack like YETI ICE 2 lb. Refreezable Reusable Cooler Ice Pack to save space since there’s not a whole lot of room on the inside.

We have had ours for 4 years. It is a great cooler for a day, but ice melts in less than 18 hours on summer days. It is very heavy for the amount of food/beverages it holds and one would expect ice to last longer, but sadly this is not the case. We use in on our boat for the day, but when spending the night don’t expect to find much ice left the next morning.

Yeti is a great product for keeping things cold, problem is this size does not hold enough for the price, if you’re going camping for a couple daysyou would have to take a much bigger Yeti to have enough drinks to last for even 4 people. Not worth the higher price in my opinion for space.

We bought this cooler due to the claim that it can hold ice better than other coolers. We conducted a scientific test (I work at a lab) where we put an electronic thermometer, measuring temperature every 20 minutes for 7 days without opening the cooler.0h – 48h = 26°F to 37°F (-3°C to 2.8°C)56h = 41°F (5°C)72h = 52°F (11°C)96h = 63°F (17°C)Otherwise, it’s well built and tough.

I love this thing. It works extremely well. Ice lasts the better part of a week. It’s solid and it’s a beastly price. But it works better than all the other coolers I’ve tried. I’ve made a lifetime commitment to a cooler. And since this one is so fantStic. I’ve bought a bigger one. It think it’s worth it.

Very well built cooler however keeping ice for seven days is a bit misleading you will need to have food prefrozen and keep cooler in the shade to achieve those seven day results
