I am an actual ornithologist. Two things you need in a binocular: clarity, and reliability. Vortex is like buying a name brand, with the labels and expensive price replaced with a lifetime destruction guarantee. You can find better glass, but not with the guarantee. These guys are light, they seem indestructible. They go on every hike and backing packing trip I go on. They are also a great pair to hand to a novice who can be intimidated by the bigger sets.

A well-designed binocular–once adjusted properly–will come up to your eye and easily focus on the target with a wide view. A poorly designed binocular will never allow you to fully focus, and give you a single small round hole of a view. This is a poorly designed binocular. Any Steiner binoc will do the first and only cost you an extra $50 for that ability. I decided to save $50 and now have to return this poor quality item. +1 for Vortex Marketing. -1 for the Vortex Consumer.

I am an avid hunter and compact/lightweight/dependable binoculars are extremely important to me.This binocular provides the ultimate image clarity for a compact model. Much of my hunting occurs in cold/damp conditions (I live in Wisconsin) and these binos don’t fog up regardless of weather conditions. The fit and finish is outstanding! I wear glasses and these binoculars offer excellent eye relief adjustability. That paired with the solid focusing mechanism all backed by Vortex’s lifetime warranty make these a wonderful value.

Was looking for a portable glass set to replace a Nikon set lost in one my my many moves. Finally broke down and did the research, shelled out the cash. From just a showroom demo, these Vortex seemed just as good as the more expensive European brands, and much better than an 8 x 40 Nikon set I have. I would say clarity is as good as my $400 Celestron BAK-4 9 x 63 set. For the price, the size, and the warranty terms, you simply can’t beat these.

I got these to replace a pair that had optical planes that became misaligned. Having used vortex scopes for a few years now, I was more than happy to purchase binoculars made by them. You get the amazing warranty, great price, and crystal clear glass. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

I’m no optics expert but these seem pretty good. These are easy to focus, feel solid, really small, light weight and look good. Objects look clear while zoomed in. Lifetime warranty is an amazing bonus.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas and of course had to try them out before I put them under the tree (lol). They are easy to use and lightweight! They don’t fog up and have a clear view through them.Be sure and read the directions (easy) on how to adjust for your eyes!

Absolutely cracking pair of binocular for the price. Don’t be fooled by any reviews in here claiming these are rubbish. Most likely they have no understanding of optics or anything to compare with. So her is my take on this pair. Having used glass costing anything from £500 to £1200 these are a bargain for the build quality and optics performance. The fact these 10×26 manage to impress me in the eye relief department that say it all. They are brilliantly balanced for one handed use with a rubbery grip and perfect size.Optically they are better than many binoculars in this price range or even pricier in some cases. Colour reproduction is well balanced with no bias to yellow or red Neutral. Usable FOV is also great extending to about 80% from the centre to edge, eye relief is terrific at 10x magnification many brands cannot get this right to accommodate for people wearing glasses. I would highly recommend these binoculars, buy them without hesitation if you are in the market for a grab and go binos 😉

most disappointed. Have a much cheaper pairby Bushnell which although lacking in magnification perform just as well.
