When it comes to everything you expect in a microwave, nothing compares with the defrosting, cooking and reheating capability of the Panasonic NN-SN97JS Countertop/Built-In Cyclonic Wave Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology and Genius Sensor.

At every temperature level, Cyclonic Wave circulates heat in precision, ultra-efficient 3D waves for easier, more versatile food preparation–even with denser, more complex food textures.

This exceptional 1250-Watt, 2. 2-cubic-foot capacity stainless steel microwave with 16. 5-inch turntable also includes patented Inverter Technology which, unlike traditional microwaves that rely on pulse-on, pulse-off power at lower temperatures, delivers a constant stream of cooking power at every temperature for more evenly cooked meals – edges to centers – every time.

With the touch of the Genius Sensor cooking button, this microwave takes guesswork out of creating a great meal by automatically setting power levels and adjusting cooking or defrosting time for added time-saving convenience.

The sensor measures the amount of steam produced during cooking and signals the microprocessor to calculate the remaining cooking time at the appropriate power level. A selection of 20 auto cook options enable you to quickly prepare your favorite foods, such as pizza, popcorn, pasta, soup, oatmeal and other dishes.

I’ve had an Inverter microwave from Panasonic for close to 7 years and love it but it started making sounds when off and I dont trust it anymore. This led me to buying this new cyclonic inverter microwave. I know it gets good reviews but the quality has dropped from previous models. Buttons are no longer chrome, the front door doesn’t line up perfectly and it is burning the hell out of my food on all sensor settings. The last straw was when I set it to ground meat and cooked a burger. It not only burned it to charcoal but didnt stop cooking although smoke came pouring out and the walls of the oven were burning hot. This is a fire hazard. Returning mine. This is my second try as the first try had a door that would not close tight at the right top section.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!! There is a tiny piece of cardboard on the inside of this microwave literally as thin as a piece of paper that cannot get wet. This piece was destroyed after 1 month of using this. So really how do you wipe down the inside when there is food on it? Panasonic customer service woman was rude and nasty and told me not to get the replacement one they sent wet ever. REALLY? They told me this tiny cardboard piece is used to protect the electronics in the oven! After they sent me a replacement and I put it on and started using the microwave again, it sounded like drums playing every time I turned the microwave on again to reheat food which is all I use it for! BAD BAD BAD!!!

I’ve been using this for 2 months. This microwave cooks way better then any I’ve ever used or owned. Food doesn’t explode or pop and heats pretty evenly. I’m impressed. I had a GE profile that was pretty good at cooking but failed. I replaced that with a Kenmore Elite thinking all microwaves were just microwaves. I spent 2 years with that Kenmore eating mildy warm food with cold spots on extremely hot dishes and constantly being frustrated. I would have given this microwave 4 stars because the trim kit is so terrible to install and its not quite the right fit for the microwave, though it works and is acceptable. Another annoyance is when you hit the 30 sec quick button you still have to hit start. BUT because the microwave does its core job of cooking so well it’s still at the very least 5 star. I don’t know if its the inverter, or the cyclonic jargon, but this is the evolution step that all microwaves need to take.EDIT UPDATE 08-2017: Changing from 5 star to 2 star. Microwave failed after about 6-7 months. It no longer heated anything though appeared to function normally. Repair was a huge pain as we had to unmount it, drive it a very sketchy place, and leave it for a few days. It was now fixed at no charge, but in the months since then it doesn’t cook near as evenly. It’s extremely aggressive at heating now and nukes things in like 60% of the time it use to. Things pop and explode now. Disk come out burning hot. Sucks now.
