I’m on the fence with this product. We use the blender and cups in a daily basis. They work fine. The only issue I have with the blender is being able to clean the bottom. You need to use pipe cleaner/scrubbers to get the funk out of the cracks or there is nasty build up.The major disappointment I do have is with the 64 oz food processor bowl. Same situation with the cleaning but upon further inspection I realized that 3 out of 4 of the screw sites that attaches the bottom piece were completely broken through. I had only used for about 2 months. If you are a heavy duty user for dough or making butter, look for something more durable. The only way I saw this is when trying to clean the build up.Warranty: this product has a LIMITED warranty on time AND products included. Customer service said that the processor bowl wasn’t covered under warranty, just the blender. They said they would make an exception this time since I called during warranty period. If you do purchase and additional warranty is available through Amazon, get it.Overall, the product fulfills my needs but since it has some manufacturing and durability flaws I would purchase something different if I had to do over again.

THIS HAPPENED TODAY, when crushing ice and a small piece of avocado and a small piece of banana for a smoothie, in the 72-oz pitcher. Suddenly, without warning, a large piece of the side of the pitcher just flew out of the pitcher at a high rate of speed! There were no cracks in the pitcher whatsoever. There was no warning. We are very thankful that it missed the person using the Ninja because that could have been deadly! We’ve only had this Ninja for about 2 months. This was an absolute shock!

I wanted to really love this and was super excited about it. I especially loved that you can have just one base with a blender and food processor to save on storage space. The reviews were also great. The single serve blender made really good (grainy) smoothies. My problems really started when I tried to make hummus. No matter how long I blended in the food processor I just could not get a smooth texture. I also tried to make tahini in the food processor and the machine just would not chop the seeds. I let it run for about 10 minutes and still had seeds in tact. I would make tahini with my old mini cuisinart food processor (I was planning on replacing that with this ninja system) and the cuisinart chopped those seeds right up in 2 minutes. Another reason why I was not happy with my purchase was there is no entry hole in the top of the food processor for adding liquids. So if you like to emulsify, you can’t do it with this. I did see other models of the ninja system that do have the hole in the top of the food processor, but please be aware that this one does not have that. I gave 3 starts because this product is nicely built, great price and does the job for smoothies, but if you are wanting a super smooth texture, emulsify or add through the lid as you process, you can’t do it with this. I ended up returning it and am going to stick with a traditional food processor and blender.

Wow. We’ve had our ninja for about a month now, and I can definitely say I’m impressed. The only parts we’ve not used are the little cups and the dough blade. The only reason I can’t give it 5 full stars is bc I know now that it’s not the best out there. After buying this one, I found the newer one with the smart functions for smoothies and all. That’s my only regret. This machine itself though, for what it is, and what it’s supposed to do, it excellent. The thing has more wattage than my professional Italian hairdryer (that’s a lot). It Juuust fits underneath my cabinet so the size is perfect. I love all the little clever bits, like the bottom handles that release the suction cups, and the lock that holds open the pour spout lid. Attention to details like these are what make for excellent products.I use it so often that I nearly always just hand wash it right away. I’ve found a water bottle brush to be perfect for getting down walls quickly and maneuvering safely around cleaning the blade. The only thing I’ve encountered any difficulty cleaning so far is after I made nut butter, getting inside the blade.Speaking of, the food processor portion has proven invaluable. It is the perfect size for the majority of those types of jobs I need done and unlike my large dedicated food processor, there’s no hole in the middle! Hallelujah! So recommendation? If you absolutely cannot get the newer one, or you loathe smoothies… then yes, absolutely. In and of itself it’s great.Would I buy this one again? No- knowing what I know now, I’d spend the $50 more for the new one (at least that was the price difference when I was shopping). I make too many smoothies not have as many advantages working in my favor as possible.I’d like to say something in regards to the melted/fire/etc. reviews & pics. This is a reflection of my own experience and not meant to demean or diminish anyone else’s situation in any way.1) the Ninja is Covered in neon safety warnings as you unbox it detailing exactly how to use it. 2) it has built in emergency shut off procedures and when that happens there are things you’re supposed to do as well. 3) never walk away from a kitchen appliance while it’s running (or the stove top) no matter how secure you may think it is. 4) be mindful of the environment you’re working in- there’s a reason we’ve been putting stone in kitchens for centuries. This being said: I have not had any issues remotely resembling overheating at all. I operate my machine in a well ventilated area on my granite countertop. While the machine runs, I do a fair amount of pulsing, I don’t just put it on high & leave it going for 10 min, while it runs I’m touching the machine (as I would my stand mixer). I feel where the motor is in the base, and monitor the heat output. I’m turning it off frequently to scrape down anyway, but I’m aware of how hot it is and maintain control of the situation. That’s just what I do. If it’s beneficial for anyone else, then great.

Less expensive than the other “premium” blenders in this power range, but with more accessories! I was debating on whether I bought this or the Vitamix or the Blentec. I’ve compared and compared. I’ve asked friends and family and finally decided that I don’t need my blender to heat the food that it’s blending, I just need it to blend it. I also know I wanted to make smoothies, and look at that, this came with TWO smoothie cups. I also wanted a food processor and WOW! This Ninja comes with an attachment for that as well! So between saving a couple hundred dollars AND getting accessories I desired, this was the top choice for me.

B A S U R A – C A R A !!

I am happy with my purchase. This blender is powerful and effective. My youngest teen isn’t the most gentle, but this blender stands up to her rough daily handling like a pro. I am impressed with the quality and sturdiness. I bought mine a year ago and gifted this one to my oldest child and she is ecstatic with the gift. Will buy again when my next one moves out!
