Y’all. This thing is legit. Like, waaaaay legit. The small size is perfect for our Brooklyn Kitchen and we’ve saved so much money making coffees better than we can find in most local shops. The frother is life-giving and whips up the most amazing frothy warm cream and works sooooo quickly. In about a minute (or less) you can have an amazing cup of espresso.I’ve been talking about how amazing this machine is to anyone that will listen because it’s changed my life. Yeah, its that good. It comes with a multipack of pods so you can determine which flavor you like best, but honestly they are all addictive.Buy this. Buy it now.

One of the reasons I haven’t jumped on the K-cup/Nespresso band wagon is the recycling issue with the cups. So I was impressed when I read about Nespresso’s free cup recycling program and environmental focus. I recently traveled to Beijing and the hotel had an espresso machine that made the best Italian coffee with fantastic crema. My regular coffee at home just wasn’t measuring up. So I decided this Christmas to give Nespresso a try. So far, love the machine. The milk frother works fantastic and the espresso and lungo from the machine is really good. Just like the Italian coffees I had in Beijing. Their product just makes me happy. However. I’m beginning to suspect that Nespresso’s recycling program is just a marketing ploy and not a genuine commitment because they make it so difficult to actually participate. In order to get the free recycling bags you have to order your cups through Nespresso and you can only get two bags at a time. I think they hold up to 200 cups, so 2 bags should last you a good long while. IF you can get a bag that is. When I went to order my bags they were out of stock. You can also get the bags from the store, so I used the store locator. We have one location in our area and it’s nearly an hour away. When I theoretically get my recycling bags I will still have to take them to a UPS store to have them shipped back to Nespresso. Dear Nespresso, the easier you make it for consumers to recycle your products, the more product we will buy and use. I for one, will not brew as often if I feel a pang of guilt each time I hear that little aluminum cup neatly drop into the featured trash receptacle, no matter how convenient it is. I will be looking into the reusable k-cups that work this machine and brewing my own to supplement until I can get the recycling stuff figured out.

I’ve been a nespresso user for over 3 years and I’ve never had this type of problem before. I am a student at UIUC and everyone knows how important coffe is to a college student. This machine was delivered to me on the 25th December 2019 and that was the day I was leaving for New York to spend Time with my family. The box arrived in mint condition so I wasnt worried. I arrived back to a huge mess, as I unboxed the machine I noticed some scratches on the water tank and on the side of the machine but I didn’t mind it as stuff wears out as it’s used. The actual surprise was when I plugged in the machine and no lights lit up. I went back to the Manual read it about 2 times, got in contact with the nespresso support agent still no idea of what’s wrong and the agent told me if the frothed works that’s good I was completely shocked with the response so I searched the name of the machine up on YouTube to figure out what I was doing wrong. A WASTE OF MY TIME! While on YouTube I saw a bunch of defects with this machine. I purchased a brand new one and I feel like I got a refurbished one that doesn’t even Work1.) The machine has a leaking defect in the used capsule area, which makes a mess and wastes water.2.) Some people were having problems with the capsule not being fully pierced and only hot water coming out.3.) After a little while the machine will start to have problems with the water pressure(19 bars of pressure) BSTHIS HAS BEEN A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY AND TIME! And now I have to go buy coffee every morning.I WANT A REPLACMENT OR COMPENSATION!

I got this to replace a dead Keurig Rivo, which was a similar concept – espresso capsules, milk steamer/frother.Pros: This is a MUCH better machine overall. Build quality is nice and solid, materials are nice to the touch. The espresso itself is better and there are many more varieties of capsules available. Warm-up is fast and pulling a shot is fast. It’s possible to steam the milk while simultaneously pulling a shot, so it’s faster to get that all-important first latte in the morning. The water tank in the back makes it sleek and look better on the counter.Cons: The water tank in the back makes it easy to run out of water and not notice (it’s supposed to have an indicator light, but maybe because of where I’ve put mine, I can’t see it). The default whisk on the frother makes a much stiffer foam than I like – probably great for cappuccinos though. The chrome handle on the top looks great but shows finger prints very easily – I’ve been thinking of it as a reminder to make sure I’ve ejected the last cartridge, then wipe off the fingerprints.I did not mention the high cost of espresso capsules as a con, because it’s a given with these kinds of machines no matter the brand. You’re going to pay a lot for the convenience. Order in bulk online.
