Earl Dean Sandefur –
I purchased this rangefinder to replace my Leupold RX1000TBR. So far the 1600 works well. The issue I have with Leupold is there quality and customer support. The RX1000 was used on a farm to determine distances and was rarely out of the house. We use it to calculate fence lines etc. It’s not used often but comes in handy when needed. I have never hunted with this unit or had it in the woods and it has never been exposed to harsh conditions. One day the reticle became very hard to see and was not existent in some area on the screen. I replaced the battery hoping this would solve the issue. It did not. I ordered a new RX1600 and sent the RX1000 in for repair. I misunderstood the warranty to be for life as are other Leupold products. The warranty is 2 years. When customer service contacted me they informed me they could not repair the unit and they would not replace it. They did offer me a discount on a new unit which is some percentage of list price and turns out to be close to retail. Really not much of a discount at all. I’m disappointed to say the least and will likely never purchase another Leupold product. I surely will never purchase another rangefinder from Leupold. There are other brands with great review and lifetime warranties. I bought Leupold because I believed in the Leupold brand, quality and customer commitment. I was wrong.

The Leupold RX-1600i TBR/W that I received in a timely fashion had blurred optics. Thought maybe I was having a bad eye day, so let my hunting friend look through it as well and he came to the same conclusion. As I have 7 scopes, 3 pair binoculars and an older range finder by Leupold that are of outstanding quality, I was very disappointed. Must be a Chinese rip off! Also, there was no return information in the packaging.

I needed a newer rangefinder and did a lot of research before choosing this rangefinder. The ability to use MOA, ballistic groups, angle finding and its ease of use sold me on this unit. I have ranged out to 1400 yds to nothing but a dirt and sagebrush hill. This thing certainly works out there a lot further than I can shoot so its a winner for me.

New purchase. Still in the testing stage. Accurate in my testing so far. Delivered as expected. Package was correct and secure in good shape. No damage. Fully working.

Have hunted for years and never “needed” a range finder, getting into long distance, and figured it was time for a range finder, all I have ever ran is Leupold, this was the best all around I could find for the money. Leupold guaranteed, it is a very handy and awesome tool that won’t leave my side wether I’m in the woods or at a range, everything is clear and vivid, no malfunctions. Was in the single digits in temp and everything was great!

Super fast, easy to read. Screen is either too bright or too dim. It’s a good rf just nothing impressive for the money.

Used it at Redding and matched the cut sheet perfectly! I shouldn’t have waited this long to get a good range finder.
