Saw this spotter in the movie, Hurt Locker. Great movie, puts you in touch with what our troops are dealing with every day. Surfed around and read great reviews from the boys that used the Leupold as Mil Issue in the middle east theatre. These were major bucks for me, but the combination of great clarity with the Mildot reticle in the center was intriguing and worth the price… you get what you pay for. Need to get up on fully understanding how the mildot system works. Will use for hunting and mountain travel. I really love that the scope is intended for use inside zippered cover. Very stable for handheld viewing. Can be used with shooting stick for stablilization. Buy with confidence.
