As other reviewers posted, it does not even melt the chocolate. I thought that because I was already experienced in tempering chocolate, that perhaps the other users weren’t doing it properly.Disappointed but not surprised.

This is a cool, less expensive alternative to a commercial tempering unit. My only gripe is that the “Chocolate Tempering” setting does not work very well. The chocolate never tempers; temp too cold. However, you can manually temper the chocolate very well in this by setting the temperatures yourself. Still a great by for those who want to temper chocolate.

I am going to return this because it does not heat up properly, the temperature is off by 60° and does not function as it was advertised. Called KitchenAid sent out replacement it to had the same issues was not reaching the temperature it was supposed to

Doesn’t temper chocolate because the temperature is not accurate. A very expensive waste of money. I kept trying to make it work, but it doesn’t and now the window to return it has closed. Very unhappy with this purchase.

Horrible burning smell like when you forgot an empty pot on the stove. When started smelling I moved in garage and the smell was so strong and my husband smell from living room and came to me and told me: “ Do you want to burn the house?” Don’t heat evenly to be able to prepare anything in this bowl not even melting chocolate. Take forever to heat. I never bought anything so bad.I returned today.

Take forever to heat up whatever is in the so called heating bowl. I highly recommend to NOT buy it. I’m usually a big fan of Kitchenaid but they completely screwed up with this.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. It does not work as specified and the seller refuses to take responsibility for it. The unit does not heat to the temperatures specified and the seller just says “deal with the manufacturer”. The manufacturer cannot give a refund as I did not by it from them. GOLDA’s Kitchen SHOULD BE DESISTED FROM AMAZON!~!! THIS ALSO DOES NOT FIT THE COSTCO VERSION. The specs indicate that it is for a “lift” stand mixer. WRONG!!!! Also the unit will NOT HEAT ANYTHING PAST 150 Degrees F. THIS UNIT IT A COMPLETE FAILURE. It does not even show you the correct temperature. The display says 200 F and the real temp is 145 F. I don’t even give this one start.. RETURN THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE ONE! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY FROM GOLDA’s Kitchen!!
