So I am writing this based off the fact that I read the other reviews and at this time I feel are unverified buyers.. first off I called kitchenaid directly and they have heard of this product and verified that this is indeed a kitchenaid mixer that they make and aside from minor trim variations they assured me this is essentially the same exact model of the KP26M1ER with the same warranty and accessory compatibility. This model has the same motor and is made from the same materials but is an Amazon exclusive model number. For the record this is not the only retail exclusive model they make, in fact the representative had a pretty extensive list of the exact same model with retailer specific model numbers. I am NOT a verified buyer, just someone that did a little research. If I do decide to buy this I will post back with my user opinion, but for now… at least you know this is an actual kitchenaid product with similar specs and same warranty.

I didn’t realize until after I purchased this that there was a promotional model KitchenAid makes specifically to put on sale for Black Friday deals on other sales that make it appear to be deeply discounted. Instead, this is a cheaply made model that is significantly lower quality. It struggles to make dough, which is the primary reason I bought it, and it is much louder than any other mixer I have used. I’m very disappointed with this purchase.

Really disappointed in this mixer. I’ve had a Kitchenaid Artisan mixer for 7 years and have loved it. I thought I was getting an upgrade but I was very wrong and I feel cheated.First off, even after thoroughly washing and drying it, it turned $12 worth of almond paste black. They’ve changed the metal material of this bowl and I’m uncomfortable trying anything with oils in it now. Also, my bowl is very hard to get on correctly. It takes 2 hands and considerable force to get it all clicked in right which seems crazy and with 4 eggs in it, my whisk still didn’t reach them to get my batter started.Lastly, the mixer clicks a lot when using it, especially on higher speeds.I haven’t tried using the pasta attachment on this so I’ll update my review once I have, but even if that works great, I didn’t spend $230 to have a pasta maker.I never expected to not like this. I have several Kitchenaid appliances and other Kitchenaid countertop appliances and have always been happy but this experience is tarnishing my opinion of them.I’ve contacted Kitchenaid and will update if they offer a decent resolution.

Love it but I wasted an entire batch of organic ingredients when I attempted to use it for the first time. There was black stuff all over it. I googled and found that it’s bc the bowl isn’t properly cleaned before shipping. I had to scrub with salt and lemon juice and that fixed it. I washed before the first use with soap and water and that did not remove the film, which you cannot see.

Junk. On the first use it sounded like it was going to explode. It was really struggling to mix a very small batch of pasta dough. The loud whining sound is so bad you can’t stay in the same room. Returning it today.

This mixer is turning out to be an amazing value. It keeps outperforming a 15-year old KA Heavy Duty which it’s replacing. So far, it has done an outstanding job whipping eggs for genoise and kneading bagel dough. I wasn’t sure what to expect since there wasn’t much info on this model. Besides actually using the machine, my concerns were put to rest after checking more expensive KA models at Williams Sonoma. The build quality is consistent with the WS display models that cost much more. While the KL26M1 series may not have a few features (like the knob on the bowl lift handle) I am more concerned with performance, size and durability. The beater height needed adjusting – initial test showed the flat paddle barely touched 2 eggs at the bottom of the bowl. A half turn counterclockwise of the adjustment screw easily fixed that problem. I also purchased the 11-wire whip (model KN211WW) with the money I saved buying mine on Cyber Monday. Well worth the extra $21 – perfect fit and takes it to a whole new level compared to the subpar whip it came with (see picture). I am hoping this machine will last for years. It is a surprisingly useful upgrade to an older version. This is keeper!

This is my 3rd Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I have previously owned 2 5 quart Artisian models and needed an upgrade to handle my needs. My Kitchen Aid stand mixers get heavy usage. I had been researching professional grade mixers and was looking at purchasing the 7 quart, but with the price of this one on Cyber Monday, I just could not justify the difference in cost and decided to try the 6 quart to see if it would handle my needs. So far I have made a double batch of egg noddles, a double batch of crescent rolls, and a batch of cookies that makes 5 1/2 dozen at once. I was only able to do single batches in my previous mixer and the cookie dough always rode up the paddle attachment making a huge mess and a hard clean up, not to mention the motor itself never sounded quite right when mixing the large batches. I told my husband that I would try out this model first and if it didn’t suit my needs that I would want to go ahead with the 7 quart, but so far, this mixer is meeting my needs quite nicely. If you are a heavy duty baker and tackle yeast breads, large batches of cookies and other doughs, I would highly recommend this mixer! I am extremely pleased with it and hope that it will handle my yeast roll dough that requires 10 cups of flour just as it has handled everything else so far! My only con is that I am finding it difficult to get the bowl on the prongs, but will readily admit that it is user error because I keep trying to put it on the wrong way. I’m sure that once I have used it a few more times that I will learn how to get it right the first time.

I’m not very impressed with this mixer. I had an old KitchenAid mixer that I loved (and it still works great). I was going to get this new one and give my old beloved one to my mom, who loves it too.So I bought this one and then realized quickly that I couldn’t whip a couple of egg whites in it. The whisk barely touches the egg whites and it just won’t whip. Even today, trying to whip six egg whites, it takes forever because the whisk doesn’t pick it all up right away.I knew it was a higher capacity than the previous one, which I thought would be great for Christmas baking so I could do double batches of small recipes at a time. But I wasn’t prepared for it to be impossible to do small batches of certain things in it when I’m doing every day cooking.I ended up giving the new one to Mom (because she only uses it for Christmas baking) and got my old one back from her to keep at home. I will cry if and when my old one dies.I also don’t love the way the bowl goes in and out of the mixer arms. Tricky to figure out at first and I don’t like having to use so much force to get it in and out of the mixer arms. Wouldn’t be great for someone with weaker hands or arms (like an elderly baker perhaps).Overall disappointed. Kept it because I didn’t realize for a while after I got it that it was problematic for small batches. We’re living with it, but not thrilled with it. Definitely do not recommend.

Quite disappointed in this so far, after having the 4.5qt for almost 8 years working flawlessly, we decided for something bigger. Out of the box, the gearbox was grinding. After calling the U.S. helpline (who said it needed to be replaced) transfered me to the Canadian dept. They needed a video send in that is supposed to get attached to the file right away. Well that took 2 weeks. Now they are saying it’s not attached and I have to go through it again.so far, it’s horriable service

I debated a long time between the tilt-head and the bowl-lift designs (especially since I’m a very casual baker). When this bowl lift went on sale, I bought it and it’s been fantastic. I’m very happy with the build quality — I don’t have to worry about the mixer shaking and rattling itself off the counter-top. The construction is very solid. The performance has been stellar. Dough mixing is so much easier (if even from a cleanup perspective). If this machine is in your budget, I do recommend it.

I used to have the older version of this exact KitchenAid. I bought it 10 years ago. Once I got this new one, I felt the difference right away. Despite the motor being the same power, it felt really weak. It sounds like it is about to die at anytime, even though it is brand-new and there’s not much in it. Anyways, it is a good product but wished that my old one didn’t break 🙁

Came quickly and as described. very strong machine. However, even after moving the bowl to the highest position, it has a hard time reaching those items in the bottom of the bowl, so it’s not good for things like beating just 2 eggs.very heavy and large so it needs to be on the countertop. it would be difficult to store and move in and out of a cupboard.

Great Mixer Easy to set up, and easy to use, with no problems. Works perfectly, motor strong enough to mix anything. Lots of great attachments looking forward to getting a few and testing them out. One somewhat of a negative thing is the black spots inside the bowl, they are a byproduct of the manufacturing and are not dirt. Mine did have a couple of small spots but honestly it doesn’t bother me but from reading the reviews a lot of people for some reason find that a big problem.

Though the bowl is nice and big and can accommodate a big batch of bread dough, the motor slowed and seemed to have trouble with it. Also, the bowl tilt is very stiff and I’m sure many would have difficulty snapping it in and out. Lastly, after putting the mixing bowl in the dishwasher one, it came out with rust spots along the rim. I was expecting a lot more from this machine and don’t think I’d buy it again
