This is my second KitchenAid food processor. I loved the first one, but my cup broke so I wanted to replace it. However this one is cheap feeling, lightweight and does not chop well at all! I am so unsatisfied with this product. I wouldn’t waste your money!! I used my previous chopper almost daily, but this one gets large chunks of food caught in the bowl between the shredder and cup lid. It makes more work for you and isn’t worth using! So disappointed.

I already have a 12-cup Kitchen Aid food processor, however, I got tired of lugging it out of storage when I had to use it, because it was too big for my counter (and most jobs). This machine was purchased because it would fit on the counter neatly. Now, I find I actually use this appliance much more often. This model, unlike my other one, is extremely easy to clean. That’s a big plus for me. Another thing I like is how the lid fits on the bowl. The lid sits inside the bowl so if you are doing something with flour, it stays in the bowl instead of making a big mess on your counter. As to it’s durability, I can’t make any determination because I haven’t had it long enough, but it does seem to be up to the jobs I use it for.UPDATE–I can now speak for the quality. B-A-D. I didn’t even have this processor 1 year and it didn’t get heavy use, but it died in the middle of making a cookie dough. A food processor should be able to handle that and this didn’t. Pity because I really liked the design. I expected much better from Kitchenaid. Replaced with a Cuisinart; and that IS up to the job. Don’t waste your time with this one.

At first I thought, what are all these bad reviews about? It is super easy to clean, the oil drip is awesome and I love the way the lid attaches. And then this morning, 1 day after I could return it, I was making some chick pea blondies (ya’ll know the ones!) And it just died while pureeing the chick peas! Dead. Come on Cuisinart! What’s the deal! Thank goodness Amazon is a bit lenient on the return window. I also notice they aren’t selling them anymore… so take it from me, BUYER BEWARE!

I have always loved Kitchen Aid products, I have been using them for twenty years. So when I saw this red one on sale I knew I had to have it for my new kitchen. I gave my white Kitchen Aid to my daughter in law bc her kitchen is white and it is still like the day I bought it 5 yes ago. So when I received my package I was very excited, UNTIL I open the box! There was no packaging to protect the machine, no instructions booklet, it was all very disappointed bc obviously this was a return. I thought I made a mistake and purchased a refurbished machine. So I washed and set up the machine IT DIDN’T WORK!!! I had everything lined up correctly, so I tried on another outlet, same results! So I checked my order and indeed I had purchased a brand new unit, NOT a refurbished model. I was so angry? I almost didn’t order a replacement.I took a chance and contacted Amazon and of course they sent out a new one and had UPS pick up the bad machine free of chargeI received the replacement today, I’m so happy now, the unit is brand new with everything proceed, even packaged different than the first and had the necessary booklet and warranty paperwork. This one works perfectly!

This is a painfully disappointingly weak motor that’s louder than it should be for more indignity. I tried blending cottage cheese with it and it took forever. Then when adding eggs and other ingredients it didn’t move the substance at all, it all stayed in the middle forming a layer around the egg portion. I had to take a spatula and manually scrape it off of the sides in order to blend my mixture together. On top of that getting the bowl to sit right on the base is tricky. What a huge letdown. I haven’t even tried slicing vegetables yet, but I’m fearing that the weak motor might meet its match with hard stuff like carrots, cheese, or raw potatoes. Did the people at Kitchenaid even try this thing before selling it?

I own the much smaller version & it’s such a powerful little workhorse, but it was too small. I have a cafe & needed to hold more as I use it to make pimento cheese. This one is awful!!! it has a hard time blended cream cheese! How is that possible? I have to constantly stop it and smash the cheese down so the blade catches it – & whats worse is it make the worst high pitch squealing noise! I was going to return it, but my husband through away the packaging. i have to find a newer better one & fast

KitchenAid does not disappoint with this convenient sized food processor. Fits well under my cabinet and looks great in the counter without taking up too much precious countertop realestate !! Performs as you would expect fine KitchenAid products to and clean up is a breeze! Now I don’t dread cleanup on my food processor so I tend to use it more.Try it. I think you will like it as much as I do!

I had a smaller processor before, that didn’t really get the job done. This processor fits on my counter under the top cabinets, perfectly, and works like a dream. It has low, high, and pulse. Love the way the lid locks on. My only concern will be if the pieces are durable and do not break when dropped. So far, love it!

We have a HUGE KitchenAid food procesor, and like all of that vintage the bowl cracked and can’t be replaced. We decided we wanted moderate size, so 7 cups is perfect. It’s easy to clean and the fact that it goes together with just a push instead of turning and clicking (which is what broke on the older one) is a bonus. It works well.

This product is well designed for easy cleaning and use. There is no need to turn the ‘bowl’ into place to lock, and it comes apart easily to clean. It is quiet to use and looks nice too. The parts are plastic but seem to be durable compared to other products I’ve used including older ‘mini’ Kitchenaid models. Great buy for the price too.

This is my first food processor and it works wonderfully for all kinds of chopping and mixing, specially if you are vegan and use lots of veggies everyday. I love it and wouldn’t be without it. It’s perfect size for meals and easy to clean.

I usually love KitchenAid products, but this one is terrible. The bowl never actually locks on the base, and the lid mechanism is also an annoyance. I guess being able to take it on and off the bowl was meant to be practial; it just gets in the way, or falls when you forget that it’s not attached to the bowl and can’t be snapped on or off either. It’s just there, loose.Worst of all, it stopped working entirely after a couple uses while I was making a cake. All in all, it’s not great. It feels cheap and all the pieces feel loose together.
Amazon Customer –
Love everything about this except that you can’t pick it up by the handle because the bowl releases under the weight of the base, which is easily remedied by using 2 hands

Compact yet powerful and I’m very happy with the results.

I’ve only used the food processor a few times since I received it. It did a great job of fine slicing the veg for a salad.I’ve yet to use it for blending soups. So far, I’m quite happy with it.
