It’s not a bad cooler. It’s for sure tougher than most and it’s a great little size to haul around in your car at all time. I got it because I did not wanted to drop the money for a Yeti Roadie (20). I though I could find a cheaper, just as good, alternative. I have another Yeti cooler, and yes, they are expensive. But as soon as I took the K2 out of the box I could tell that no, this isn’t as good as a Yeti. Right away I could tell the molding was of lower quality, which led me to question if the internal foam was of lower quality too. The strap didn’t bother me, and in a way I like it better because it’es easier to just remove. With the roadie you get a metal strap that you can not take off. Not a big problem but I wish I had the option. The other thing I noticed was that the seal isn’t as tight as with the Yeti’s. Again, not that big a deal, but at this price range I do expect a bit more.Lastly I tested the lid to see if it could handle a rough time. And that’s when I sense that the plastic molding here isn’t as tough as the Yeti’s.So, I decided to return it. For $40 more and a coupon at REI I was able to get the Roadie and I was much happier with that purchase.Again, not a bad cooler for the money. But I am ok with spending a little more to get something even better.

I was hesitate to buy this K2 cooler, but after reading the reviews, I took a chance on it. It looks very similar to the Yeti, but we were disappointed in it’s performance. We filled it with ice and next morning, most of the ice melted. The size is great. We wanted one that would fit in the back seat of our truck. I don’t usually send anything back, but my husband said why keep it if it doesn’t perform how we need it to. My refund was completely returned in full, including the shipping charges.

Fits in the back of my coosa hd kayak with room extra room in any direction. Tough and will hold the cold in pretty good from what I can tell. Might get 3 days of ice out of it……update ….tougher than I thought and got 5 days of ice out of it on a float trip. Last day was low ice but still cold. Only think is I wichita they had tie down strap anchors or something on it to strap it’s down with and still be able to open it.

I love this cooler. It’s a great buy and works wonderfully. I play a lot of disc golf and after a few rounds in 90+ degrees heat, I want some cold drink and food. I’ll pack this with 4 ice packs and a frozen water bottle and it’ll keep my yogurt, milk, and food cool forever. I used this on several weekend trips this summer and never took it out of my car (or replaced the ice). It worked great! I do recommend pre-chilling it the night before you leave on your trip to make the ice packs last longer — I usually put a frozen 2-liter bottle in it the night before and then packed it up in the morning (replacing the 2-liter bottle with my ice packs). Works great!

Transportation electrician, outdoor work. Looking for something to keep my lunch and drinks cool and also need a seat while eating. Works great. Ultra robust and sturdy. Built to last. In SoCal and the blue ice is still solid when I get home, albeit “winter” now. A bit bulky, heavy, a tad too much capacity for a daily lunch cooler. I’ll take that inconvenience for a great seat. Weight and bulkiness needed for the strength and good thermodynamic properties. Height is good, but wish K2 would reduce the length and width to reduce capacity. Soft strap awesome vs a rigid handle.

I absolutely love this cooler! Keeps everything cold and has a strap for carrying! LOVE! Buy it now!Update: This cooler works best if you pre-cool it like the instructions say. And just like my ex girlfriend, it stays cold for days! Their motto should be “stays colder and lasts longer than your relationship!”

The unit keeps things cool enough, but with no handles on it, it is rather difficult to lift and carry places. The shoulder strap options is nice, but sometimes you just want to be able to pick it up with handles. In addition we were hoping to place this cooler in the floorboard of the back seat of our SUV for a cross country trip, and it was WAY too wide for that. But it kept things cool in the back and there was still ice in it 24hrs after we put it in. That’s pretty nice!

Use this daily for work and love the shoulder strap, stays cold all day in the back of a delivery truck with only one chillin brew ice pack and holds everything I need including lunch and drinks. Best to prechill the night before, I put a large frozen water bottle in overnight and replace with one ice pack and cold drinks in the morning. Still have cold drinks 12 hours later and this thing sits in a brown delivery truck all day without air conditioning (gets around 120 degrees or more during the summer)
