The BMX 52 QT Cooler from Igloo was designed with rugged construction and sturdy features. This ice chest was made with blow-molded construction for outdoor adventures.
The extra-thick foam walls and insulated lid can keep ice from melting for up to 4–5 days at 90ºF. The unique, rubberized t-latches lock in the cold while securing the lid.
Stainless steel reinforcements and rubber grips provide premium touch points on the ergonomic swing-up handles. Oversized hinges and stainless steel screws help to extend the life of this cooler.
We used our Cool Riser Technology to elevate the cooler away from hot surfaces, improving cooling performance.
Plus, the UV inhibitors protect the cooler against the sun. Skid pads and diamond plates add enhanced durability and ruggedness to the cooler. Also, a fish ruler and tie-down points were added for extra convenience.
The stainless-steel, tethered cap is threaded, making it compatible with garden hoses. This cooler weighs only 16.34 lbs, which is about half the weight of other brands at a lower price.

Are there better coolers? Yes. Do they cost twice this much money? Yes. This cooler, in addition to being quite cute, is sturdy, roomy, and keeps ice cold for 4 to 5 days depending on conditions. I bought it because I needed an upgrade to my camping cooler. I camp anywhere between 3 to 10 days, a couple of times a year. This little beauty really improved my ability to pack for my 10-day trip (it held everything I needed for at least 6 days), and it really cut down on my trips for ice. I only needed to add ice two or three times to top it off, and not nearly as much as I would have needed to add to my previous cooler. If you are stepping down to this cooler from a much more expensive brand of cooler, you will probably find fault. However, if you are stepping up to this cooler from anything else you already have, you’ll be glad to have spent the extra money, for a far superior product.

I use the Igloo as my hunting cooler so it stays in the back of my truck. It’s been 4 days and I still have about 75% of my ice. It’s rugged, lockable and keeps everything cool. In my opinion, just as good as a Yeti at a quarter of the price.

This cooler is amazing. We had it 3/4 full of frozen foods, and topped it with 10 ice packs, and no regular ice. Two days later when opened, blast of cold air came out just like a freezer, and everything, including pancakes, were still frozen solid when we arrived at our destination. I have no doubt that it would have still been that way 5-7 days later.Handles are easy to grab and carry. It fit in both trunk and back seat of our Audi A6 Quattro, although there was not enough headspace to open the lid more than 6-7″ once inside the trunk.

It’s a good sized light weight cooler. It kept our meat frozen in the bottom half for two days but the food in the top half was starting to thaw. I’m sure we will get a lot of use out of it!

I would put this up against any high dollar cooler in a heartbeat. This was purchased for a hog hunt to bring home my meat, it kept everything ICE cold while I drove home and while I processed the meat. I would definitely recommend this cooler.
