I’ve owned a Vitamix in the past – of course it was excellent. But this under $150 unit (actually $119) is pretty close and does what we need it for.So far, pretty good. Just got it and it does seem to do the job. We made gazpacho and some ice smoothies. No problems with power and the quiet “shield” really does help cut down on the noise. I wish it had a large pitcher too for making larger quantities, but the 32 oz. will work for most of what we want to do with it. The downside is that the top is not easy to take off and is made of a more rigid plastic – not a deal breaker, but I miss that rubber that I had on the Vitamix (but for saving $400, I can live with that). Also, there is no handle on the pitcher – the one you see in the photo is on the noise shield, So far it does not seem to be a big deal, but I expected one and it’s not there. All-in-all, I think this is a very powerful and versatile blender for a very good price.

This blender is just ok, we bought it in 2016. It’s a bit less noisy with the “pitcher” shield on it, but not really enough to warrant buying a new blender. It’s ok a making smoothies and if that’s all you are doing it probably fine. It does not compare with a Vitamix, Blendtec or Ninja for power. I’ve been frustrated by many recipes its not able to handle. Nut butter, forget it, my coffee grinder did a much better job. Ice and dates often break up badly with large chunks left over. We bought a Blendtec off of the treasure truck (similar price range) a couple days ago and I’m so much happier with the output, including smoothies. The worst part of this blender (I should probably give it 2 stars for this), is after much usage the ingredients start seeping through the base and get cake to the side of the jar in the compartment below the blade. It’s impossible to clean. I looked at buying a new jar but I can only find it at Hamilton Beach for $90, at 2/3 the price of a new unit after shipping I decided to move on to another blender. Fortunately for Hamilton Beach they own Blendtec as well.

I really thought this was going to be a good replacement for my Nutri Ninja Auto IQ that recently burnt up. I was looking for something different because the Ninja is sooooo loud. This Hamilton Beach blender is definetely somewhat quiter but I would NOT recommend it for making smoothies. It has to be run through several times and does not blend to the consistency of the Ninja. I will be relegating this blender to the back shelf and ordering another Ninja. I really wanted to like the Hamilton Beach but it just doesn’t do a good job (especially for smoothies).

Before finally purchasing this blender, I read reviews on countless other blenders including the more expensive ones like Blendtec and Vitamix. Even looked at various Ninja Blenders, but in the end I chose this one. I crossed my fingers and hoped all my research would pay off. When it arrived in perfect condition, I was thoroughly impressed by everything. By the way, please ignore any reviews that are under 4 stars because any moans and groans about this blender are negligible…at least in my opinion. Now of course you can buy cheaper blenders, but when you see this Hamilton Beach blender and how simple, solidly built, powerful and easy it is to clean, you’ll understand why it cost’s a little more. I feel that there’s no reason to spend an enormous amount of money on more expensive blenders when this mid range blender can get the job done just as well.It doesn’t have a lot of buttons and settings which I like. It only has a pulse and on/off button and a big dial for speed. That’s all you really need. I really believe that this is the last blender I’ll ever buy. You will not be disappointed.

I have had the Hamilton Beach 1800W Blender for about a week and love it. It has simple controls and has a hefty solid feel to all the parts. It has been shown capable of crushing ice very well. My only caveat is I am a little unsure about the usefulness of the pulse mode and here is why. I also have a Vitamix clone which has a pulse mode that starts lightning fast – it has a powerful starter capacitor (it is also a 220 volt which I use in another country). The HB that I just bought ramps up to speed much slower – probably to protect the motor – so the pulse mode takes longer to mix things up if they get stuck. On the other hand the pitcher has indents in the sides to help with that. I have not found the slow start to be an issue in use yet, but it is a noticeable difference from the blender I am used to and may just take a few seconds longer to get the job done. I have been able to crush whole ice cubes and put whole bananas, strawberries, protein powder and soy milk in and blend without a problem. I have been only making healthy smoothies since I got it, and it has been an absolute pleasure to use. I highly recommend it.UPDATE: Using the machine daily and it is still working great. Recently I put too many whole ice cubes in the jug and the blades spun preventing damage to the machine. This is a good protection against overloading the machine. Removing the excess cube allowed me to proceed.

The sound is much softer. It’s muffed by the cover. You can still hear it but it’s not an aggressive and irritating sound like my old fashioned blender. Also, I find it light weight. Not a hassle to move. You must read the small manual to use it right. Not intuitive. The price is good and the product came well packaged. I love the self cleaning program.

The blender does make noise. It is not a silent blender however it is much quieter than a normal blender. With a normal blender my kids would cover their ears and scream at me to turn off the blender. With this one my kids don’t do that. If i had to compare the noise level to something, i would say it makes the same noise level as a hair dryer. If it helps my friend spent 2k on the quietest blender in the “world” and she said it still makes noise. It is not silent either.

This blender is very powerful, capable of doing pretty much everything, including nut butters. We use it every single day, sometimes multiple times per day, and it has held up well so far. The bolt that holds the blade came loose once, so I tightened it with an allen key. Hopefully it stays tight for some time now. I was impressed with the noise level; it is quieter than I expected. I would have liked a larger jar (it’s small at 32 oz) and a removable blade would make cleaning it easier (and safer). Overall, an excellent purchase.

Very nice, solid blender. It’s pretty quiet too, especially with the sound sheid on. Looks good in the kitchen as well

But I didn’t really expect it to be silent. How does one create a silent blender? Claims of its quietness aside, it is a decent blender for the price. Certainly on par with more pricier models from Vitamix and Blendtec.

So far so good. This product crushes ice and frozen fruit for smoothies with ease. We’ve only had it for 4-5 weeks but very pleased at this price point

I have owned several blenders before and by far this is the most noisy one even though it is advertised to be very quite! I trusted reviews here and went on buying this product. Also, there are chunks of fruits in my smoothies which has left me annoyed to leave an honest and true product review here!

Muy buena licuadora, nos ha servido bastante, de repente es molesto que se pare cuando se usa continuamente, pero hasta el momento no nos ha fallado. Basta con desconectar la licuadora unos minutos y después volver a usarla.
