Once we figured out how to get it assembled, it was easy to work. It has great suction and can easily be emptied of dirt. It’s heavy to lift. I’m 78 but so maneuverable that it does not really matter. We have carpeting, oriental rugs, and tile and can easily switch modes. Very happy with product.

Lowest price I could find One. Two ,to check out the Dyson we vacuumed with old vacuum AND then used the new Dyson with a EMPTY dust bin. OMG we nearly half filled the dust bin, mostly FINE lint and fine dust particles in one one large room of month old carpeting. The self adjusting floor type leveler feature works great for carpet or wood laminate floors or tile. Great suction deep cleans , easy to maneuver and clean the room. I waited too long using a “conventional” vacuum. This Dyson is great! I don’t agree with some reviews left here that it didn’t work on their carpets; I am assuming assembly error or operator error in instances of reviewers who says these didn’t work well.

You normally pay more for the name Dyson, but one fact is irrefutable: it is quality.Works wonderfully, grabs all the dust and makes it disappear (at least until you need to empty the canister..)The Ball design makes it very easy to maneuver, and the HEPA filter is a good air quality protection (although many vacuums offer this filter these days, not all of them do)I am very happy with this vacuum, and would definitely recommend it!

Great vacuum. I have laminate flooring, high pile and thick plush carpet. It cleans all three very well. Pieces like cereal are harder to pick up but I’ve figured out how to get them. It was very hard to push on plush carpeting, but it didn’t bother me at all. It was very easy to put together and to register on Dyson website. It is heavy but manageable, I would honestly think it wouldn’t be durable if it were lighter.

Based on recommendations from two of my daughters, I ordered and received this machine recently. The first time I used it I was astounded with the power and performance this vacuum produced. Floors and carpets, which I previously thought to be clean, were truly cleaned with this machine. The amount of dirt extracted was totally unbelievable. I am so happy that I took their advice, this was a wonderful choice.

I had it for a month and a half, using it about 7 times. It plugs up easily, which I was able to clean out, but this last time when I was really depending on it, it lost suction while using the wand. Thinking I could switch to the regular vacuum, I attempted to seat the wand back into the hose. It wouldn’t seat. Since it was beyond Amazon’s return date, I was transferred to Dyson to return it for repair. While customer service was polite and efficient, I was hugely disappointed in the vacuum itself. Paying more than I’ve ever paid for a vacuum cleaner ($350), I expected a LOT better performance than this. Don’t waste your money! Don’t buy this vacuum cleaner!

Arrived promptly, as described. The suction is so strong it was difficult to push it forward on my carpeted floor. It sucked up the edges of some throw rugs, I thought I burned out the beater brush belt but it was ok. Recommend.
