I bought this as an early christmas gift for my husband. I love the rugged design. My husband and kids drop it all the time and it still works! We live on a 25 acre farm and we have never had an issue with range. Long battery life and the sound is crystal clear.

I have a small construction crew and saw these new DeWalt walkie talkies. Have used them for a few days now and can’t believe how far away they will work. It’s been much easier that using our cell phones. Size of these are great. Very rugged and will survive a drop and even if it doesn’t survive the fall it has a lifetime warranty!!

These radios are not durable. I have had 6 of them just a few weeks and 2 of them have broken antenna housings. It is a flaw in the design/construction. They are supposed to survive a 2 meter fall. Not so.

I got these radios for a hiking trip and now we use them for everything. They have excellent range, they are durable (my son has dropped the easily over 100 times), they have gotten wet, they have been dropped in mud, stomped on, you name. They still work GREAT. The battery life is long. Charging is easy. So happy with this item.

We got these to use on a cruise but have used them at the river, in the woods and driving down the road. They can pick up about 3 miles with various trees and hills in the way. At this point they seemed to get static and this blurred the speech so we had to keep repeating ourselves overall these are very good compared to the ones that we tried before. we put one radio in a completely closed no window room and drove the other over two hills and could still hear each other so we think that is pretty good easy to charge and the belt clip makes it easy to carry.

I don’t often write reviews but felt compelled to chime in on these radios. I purchased them for use during a school age summer camp for staff to stay in contact with each other. We have always purchased Motorolla in the past and have never had an issue. I decided to try the Dewalt for their good reputation and reviews. They were not cheap but figured it was worth the investment thinking they would last us a long time. Within a few days most of the covers on the antenna feel off. We super glued them on several times. Out of the 10 radios I bought, after a few weeks all but two the clips that hold the radios broke. Incredibly disappointed in these, waste of money. The only poistive things I will add is that they hold a charge for a long time and the sound quality and range are good.
