When I ordered this item, the pictures down the left side of the page showed that the tool included an ZR battery which it didn’t come with, only a tiny standard 1.5 AH battery. Also, the picture showed an included depth gauge which wasn’t included. I based my buying decision upon what was supposed to be included in the package. I’ve been a Dewalt fan for some time and have bought a lot of Dewalt tools, but this has weakened my confidence in Dewalt as an “above board” tool manufacturer. How hard can it be to supply the right pictures for the product? Shame on you.

Tool kit is missing the “Oscillating tool guide system”. Photos and text both indicate that it is included in the package. If the text and photo are changed to reflect what is actually included in the package, I will revise my review.

This is the second multi-tool I have owned. The previous version was a corded version by one of the other major manufactures, and this one beats that one hands down even though I do have a couple minor issues with this package. The included battery, 2.0 amp hour battery will work for small jobs, but if you have a lot of work to do the battery doesn’t last very long. Luckily I have other batteries 3 & 4 amp hour batteries which resolve the runtime issue. Usually I buy the dewalt tools without the battery, typically better deals, however this was on sale, so went with the package deal. Beyond the battery, this is a great multi-tool. The second issue is that there are only 2 blades included, it would be nice if a couple blades were included. The last issue is that while the tools is designed for belt clips, the attachment is not included. Not really a deal breaker, already had a couple extra belt clips from adding a second to my drill(it is nice having the belt clip on both sides). The quality of the tool is as to be expected with something from dewalt.

Universal socket seems to have a faulty designLight use blade stays put but if used for heavy duty tasks, blade tends to shift in socket. If you are looking for a good multi tool , search Festool OSC 18.

I have not used the tool yet. I purchased this tool, in part, because it came with the depth guide. at least I thought it came with the depth guide. the picture shows the depth guide….the depth guide is listed as a feature in the description. apparently, you do not get what you think you are purchasing. if you are going to advertise something, you should probably provide it. I’m sure this will be a great tool to add to my arsenal, but I will apparently need to buy a depth guide separately to complete the task I originally purchased it for. Dewalt, Amazon is making you look like liars!

Great tool, picture when I bought showed a cutting guide tool was with package. Did not receive, but still like the deal.

This is a fantastic tool. I have another brand that is not variable speed and the difference is night and day. I use it all the time for flush cuts in tight spaces. It’s particularly useful for clipping window and door shims. Huge time saver over doing it with a hand saw or fumbling with a big sawzall. It’s just the perfect tool for the job for certain tasks.

I had to scrape up several layers of linoleum tile left by our tenants. This thing did the trick 2 inches at a time which was so much better than a hand scraper. It also cuts through drywall and many other things if you turn it sideways. The battery went dead after about 20 or thirty minutes butt but so did I so I got a break while it charged. Or used my other battery if I wasn’t that tired. I gave 3 stars on battery life because they want lots of money for their batteries. They should last longer.
