This tool is what I have waited so long for! Dewalt quality hasn’t let me down and now I can be happy my dual action polisher continues to use the batteries I already own. The battery sits sideways to minimize the chance of hiting the truck. I used the 9ah battery to see how hefty this could get but it wasn’t unbearable and it felt solid in my grip. I plan to test it next with a 2ah since I like to run around 4750rpm so maybe it won’t last as long as I need for a truck as large as mine but the 9ah never quit. For comfort the grip is the same as on the power drills. The ability to control or lock it at speed is an option for the user so you can focus on the work your doing. Speed ranges from 2000-5500 and speed up in 500 incriminates in bright white numbers easily for visibility. Even though it has preset speed clicks, it allows clicks in between so you technically have 15 different speeds to choose from.I think the only way this could be better is if it had a LED light built in so you can check as your working….not a need, but just a suggestion.
Was a bit skeptical at first. I’ve always believed that certain tools you should always get corded. This is definitely not one of them. Cutting the cord on a DA Polisher is the best decision I’ve made in a long time! It has the same power as my PC 7424. This tool also has a 15mm throw!! So it cuts faster and covers more ground so you’ll finish sooner! I polished then glazed my 2017 Buick LaCrosse and went through 2 4ah batteries. I have all Dewalt tools so I have a ton of batteries. Highly recommend this tool, especially if you already have other dewalt cordless tools
I recieved a Adams Cordless DA polisher for christmas, you had to use force to insert the battery, the speed control was the size of a ant and located at the base vs top where you hands actually were, and the pad adapter flew off the first time I started it. Returned immediately. Once again AMAZON was exceptional in there return process!! Bought this DeWalt unit to replace the Adams and It was the best change ever. This unit has soft start, the speed control is easily useable from the grip and batteries actually can be installed and removed without using a hammer. Only used once so far but very satisfied. I have used many polishers over the years from Porter Cable thru Sherwood, Adams and now the DeWalt, The DeWalt is the KING.
