Why would you want this when a 12v drill-driver exists that also has a clutch?-slightly lighter and shorter, but motor housing is slightly larger (possibly diff motor). great balance without the chuck up front-has a quick release with a small amount of play compared to a solid chuck (allows the use of 2in and 90mm power blades, NOT used with 1in bits)-has a different gear ratio that splits the difference on the drill that is too slow in 1st and too fast in 2nd gear.-has 360 degree lighting-is quieter without the extra gearsThis is essentially an installer’s driver for those that prefer the great dewalt ergonomics over the m12’s thick grips. Combine this with a wera rapidapter (to use 1in bits), wera or wiha blade handle, and some 90mm or larger power blades and you have yourself quite a fancy handled driver/bit selection that is relatively cheap to maintain, versatile, and small.
