We had decided on a Nespresso largely because of the reviews. We thought about the Vertuoline, but after checking the price of the capsules, we changed our minds and got this originaline Essenza. Boy, what a great purchase! Got some Nespresso capsules with it, but the best thing is that YOU CAN BUY THIRD PARTY CAPSULES FOR THIS! We have found them online but even at our local grocery store! This machine makes AMAZING espresso/ coffee with delightful crema. Then the frother- great! (Can use almond or coconut milk as well as milk or half and half- my daughter used chocolate milk) We used this thing for guests on Thanksgiving and it was the hit! Would SO buy this again. So glad we got the original line- we’d not enjoy it so much if we were worried about the price of capsules. With this, we are not. You can even use refillable capsules. Got the glass capsule drawer and it makes a slick coffee bar. Nothing to cleaning, holds a fair amount of water. COFFEE IS HOT. Nespresso really has this figured out. Our daughter has a Starbucks Verismo and now wants ours.

We love our Nespresso! It makes espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Very easy to make. I used to be a barista at a local specialty coffee shop and nothing beats freshly roasted, freshly ground beans in a real espresso machine, but all that is expensive and takes a lottt of upkeep. So if the real thing is a 10, I’d give this machine a 8/10.We did not receive a 10 off coupon in our box for some reason, which was disappointing.Pods: Nespresso pods are good, but Peet’s pods are the best. If you’re drinking just espresso shots, I recommend Peet’s, which can be found at Target. If you will be making flavored lattes, you could get away with Trader Joe’s pods. I prefer the lungos pods (just use them to make espresso and add your syrup flavor and foamed milk). Once you add syrup (I recommend Torani syrup, sold at a discount at Ross/TJ Maxx), you can distinctly taste or appreciate the espresso.Just FYI for others on pod price points:Nespresso: usually 70¢ a pod up but up to $2.00 per podPeet’s: 79¢ a pod (7.99 for a box of 10)Trader Joes: 39¢ a pod (3.99 for a box of 10)Target: 49¢ a pod (4.99 for a box of 10, but taste terrible)LaVazza: 60¢ a pod ($6 for box of 10 on sale, but taste terrible).Enjoy!

I have been using Nespresso for decades – ever since the machines first debuted in the European market – and have probably owned every Nespresso model made. So yes, I am a devoted Nespresso user. This particular machine is very well made – my experience has been that DeLonghi branded machines are slightly higher quality than Nespresso’s own branded machines. While this is made mostly of plastic, it is sturdy and well constructed.I really like the small size – this takes up much less room on a countertop and is easily transported if you want to take it along when visiting family or friends over the holidays. But with that smaller size comes the expected trade off – you will need to refill the water and empty the capsules more often – neither of which is a big deal given the space gained with this unit. The most noticeable trade off comes in that you are limited in the height of the cup or mug you can use without removing the drip base (approx. 4″). Only espresso and traditional cappuccino mugs (low but with a wide mouth) will work. None of my regular coffee mugs fit under the dispenser without removing the drip base. It’s so close, which makes me wonder why this wasn’t designed with another half inch to allow for common coffee mugs to be used with the drip base in place. Not a deal breaker but definitely something to be aware of.Also, there is no on/off switch on this machine. Instead, you hit either the espresso or lungo button on the top of the machine, which then flashes while warming up and stops when ready to brew. Simple but different if you are switching from another Nespresso model. The Aeroccino3 frother works great for both hot or cold milk. It is priced separately at around $100 so if you want/need a frother, this bundle is a great value. The difference between this frother and the previous design is mainly aesthetic – this is taller and narrower, so the inside frothing device is slightly harder to reach. And the previous frother has a handle, which I prefer. But the frother itself works the same and produces great results.Overall I really like this machine – it is well made and brews excellent espresso. The smaller size won’t replace my regular Nespresso but it is perfect supplement to an office, RV, party room or guest room or for any location where space is limited.

this machine combined with the frother are the most amazing invention ever, reliable, fast and perfect coffee in one minute is a game changer.I am still on the hunt for a refillable capsule I can use with my favorite coffee, but the capsules from nespresso are impressive.

We came across this type of Nespresso coffee maker while staying in apartments in Switzerland. So simple, and wow … the espresso and lungo cups of coffee are fantastic. The machines we used in Switzerland were similar to this De’Longhi version, but they were slightly larger and a lot noisier. I love how this tiny Essenza Mini fits on the countertop. In black you don’t every notice it. The water container is a bit smaller than the larger version, and the storage space for the ejected pods is smaller. Those are minor issues. The big issues are that it looks great, warms up quickly and brews a fantastic cup of espresso or lungo QUIETLY. There’s a slight rumble, that is it.The foamer works well, too. Super happy with this purchase.

So far so good. its amazing that this little machine can make such a good cappuccino. I don’t buy their capsules I prefer to use reusable ones. Nespresso sells these capsules but they are too expensive

I was hooked less than a week after I’ve got this, my Keurig cannot even remotely compare. And the Aeroccino is easily the best milk frother I’ve used, works great with almond milk!
