I’ve been a birder now going on 25 years and have constantly upgraded when I was able to afford to. I now own a pair of Kahls 8X42 which are excellent binoculars and cost $900.00+ dollars. I took a chance on the Bushnell bundle knowing that when I owned a pair way back when they worked well for hunting. I received them today and after the negative reviews I had to check them out being I purchased them for a gift. Well let me tell you I ran them through all the adjustments checking out the focus adjustment for diopter on the right eye which is firm which some complained about there is no way a light bump is going knock it out like it was stated. They provide excellent light transmission on a cloudy day and they are crisp and very clear.I bought these for my son and daughter in law so he could use them for hunting & she for birding. They do have a close focus of 8.2 feet and crisp & clear.I picked these up on a Chrismas daily deal and would recommend these binoculars to my friends even at there current selling price. All said if these would of been available 10 years ago when I purchased my Kahls I would of chosen the Trophy XLT 10X42.

These are wonderful binoculars! My husband received them for his birthday last year & loves them. When a crack developed in the center pivot, I contacted the Bushnell customer service line. They gave simple instructions, along with a mailing label, to send the glasses to the Missouri center. A few weeks later, a brand NEW Bushnell Trophy XLT arrived. I’m impressed with this long-standing excellent American company that stands behind their products.

Spent 2 weeks in Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks and used these extensively. Amazing image clarity. We were picking out mountain goats on cliff faces that others were only finding with higher magnification spotting scopes. Outperformed all other binocs used by folks in our group. Extremely pleased with these. Can’t wait to use them for hunting this fall.

Great binoculars particularly for the price. I am very impressed with how sharp and bright they are!The covers on the big end are loose, but if you put them on so the caps fall forward and are attached from the underside of the binoculars they are perfect because they fall out of the way when you are looking through the binoculars, but easily are snapped back into place when you put them away.Speaking of which, if you put them back in the case with the small end going in FIRST, then the covers on the big end stay on and in place.

I bought these to bring to Kansas for deer hunting. Unfortunately they did not do what I expected of them so I sent them back. They did not draw enough light to be able to see clearly enough at 160 yards to see if a buck was a shooter or not. I had all kinds of time, I simply just couldn’t be sure it was over 140 class. It happened well after legal shooting time the second time. I saw a buck, but had no idea at 120 yards exactly how many points it had, although I was quite certain it wasn’t one I was going to take. They would probably be ok for bird watching during the day. When I got them, I did look out in the distance and they seemed very clear and sharp at home during the day. These are an inexpensive pair of binoculars that would probably be fine for many uses.I wouldn’t recommend them for taking out west to hunt with.

These are OK for the price, but I should have kept the Nikon 7S. I had them side by side and the image was clearer on the 7S. However, these were almost half the price of the 7S and the strap included in the Bushnell bundle is very comfortable to wear. The Bone Collector logo is very cool. These meet my needs.

I just start to use them. I use this product for bird watching at the farm, to see any kind of animal or insect, plant at the top of trees. Its a ligthweight and super clear view. Now lets find out if the built quality is good. !! In 2 or 3 months i will write again to tell you about built quality.Today i am realy happy about how clear of the image is.

great for the price. very good glass and cant do much better in this price range. But…. Heavy and bulky, but I guess that’s where all that money goes. If you don’t need to shed lbs. and space on a hunt or whatnot, then these are great

Came across these by chance and found them here for $50.00 with a bonus shoulder harness. Purchased them to replace my older Bino’s.Great build quality. Feel great in the hand. The overall look is great. The glass is wonderful. They came well packaged, including a case and a nice bag to protect themThey are worth every penny of the price I paid. Id consider them a high-end mid-entry item. They may not be “Vortex” quality, but for the price, you cannot go wrong. they will last you years. I would highly recommend. You can also buy an accessory to have the ability to set on a Tri-Pod.

Have had these for a year- no issues. First thing i did was remove that awful bone collector logo with the wifes nail polish remover. Thus making them a regular ol set of bushnell XLTs..But hey, Got em for 58$. Obviously not the best nocs out there, but they are a decent set of roof prism binos for general outdoor/hunting use.. If you are buying a binocular tripod adapter for use with a tripod or staff, only by the bushnell brand. As they are quite narrow between barrels. Rubber coating is very thin. But has held up this far. 3 stars for being ok

Best binos for your average hunter – the bang for buck ratio in terms of quality is perfect with this binos.- Grippy rubber surface, makes them easy to handle with gloves.- Included bino harness is decent quality.- Awesome glass for sub-200$.

Got this on special for $62 and I couldn’t be happier! I will be using them for 3D archery. I have used them indoors with bright lighting and medium lighting and they are very clear and bright. I wear glasses and don’t have an issue with comfort. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a pair of binoculars and even at full price I’d say these are a great deal.

There nice and clear easy adjustments.Fairly light and feel sturdy. The casts and straps including the harness were great additions. Only complaint would be the lens covers are useless
Sabine DAVIES –
I live on a lake. I check out birds, sailboats, swimmers, skaters, new houses. These binos have great optics and offer surprising sharpness.
Amazon Customer –
They were clearly used. Could be a return, but there was dirt and grime visible on the housing and the lenses were dirty. They were also missing the flip up objective lense covers. Functional, but not as advertised.
