I must say I have used Bunn coffee makers for many years and Always buy this brand. From the first day something was off with this model and I couldn’t figure it out. Sometimes it would make a full pot and next times 8 cups. I tried to send it back but I couldn’t get return label to print,so I kept it. After about 2 weeks I noticed my water bottles that was in the cabinet above my coffee pot was warm and began hunting for the source of the heat in my cabinets. Major product design flaw, there is a vent in the back of the hot water tank. The water is evaporating out of the tank and heating my cabinets and it also making my finished pot size vary. I sure got taken on this inferior product.

I didn’t get too far with this coffeemaker.FIRST thing I do each morning is fill up my coffee carafe using the water dispenser in my refrigerator door. No big deal, right? With this carafe, the opening in the carafe was so small that the water went everywhere except in the carafe. The front of the fridge and the floor were covered with water no matter how many ways I tried to position the carafe under my filtered water dispenser. My morning ritual was going to be complicated by a coffeemaker? Crazy. Then I realized from other reviews, that every time I went away for a few days I’d have to remember to turn the coffee pot off. Maybe…. If you’re gone 2 days do you turn it off? If you’re gone for a week, should you empty out the water? I need to worry about remembering clean underwear, not fooling with my coffeemaker, when I am traveling.I’m trying to make my coffee habit easier. This doesn’t do the trick.

this is not a normal coffee pot it preheats the water before you can even turn it on. Apparently, this is some stupid polish European design. if you don’t preheat the water before turning it on apparently it burns up the heating elements. also if you leave it in standby for more than 4 days you will also destroy the heating elements. so if you go on vacation you better remember to turn this crap coffee pot off or its toast.I had to go to the hospital for a week and when I cam back my coffee pot was fried.since it keeps the water perpetually hot I assume it evaporates over time. trust me on this kiddies don’t bother with this crap just get a mr coffee you’ll be much happier. That’s what I did.
