Gave it 4 stars because unable to set dial between preset numbers- rather just have to quick lift and check. Have 6 sec to lift and check then close back or cooking cycle will reset. Not an issue, but presets are whole numbers and won’t engage anywhere between them. Other than that feature, my homemade receipe works great. Because the waffle iron makes thicker waffles than my last Belgian waffle iron, many of family satisfied with just one square. Will have to double and triple receipe when have extended family and grandchildren – they really loved the waffles !! Would recommend it- have used 3-4 times already. I followed review suggestions and use little olive oil in napkin and wipe on upper and lower plates. Waffles came out easily every time. Didn’t spray because I didn’t want build up-I have a clean dry paint brush I brush crumbs out , then wipe it with damp cloth for cleanup. No residue! Yay!

Love, Love, Love this waffle maker! I am glad that I got the four-square as it reduces the overall baking time and I could eat with the family in between batches! I first made classic Belgian waffles using the recipe that was included in the instruction book. I would make a few modifications to the recipe (more vanilla and sugar), but overall they turned out beautifully! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, when cooked on medium setting. Very easy to clean up. The next day, I made Belgian Liege waffles and those were delicious, as well. I baked those on level 2 to slowly caramelize the Belgian pearl sugar into a nice glaze on the outside. It was bit more time-consuming to clean the sugar off, seeing the plates aren’t removable, but it melted off easily with water. The thickness is perfect and the temperature control make it worth it! Time will tell regarding quality…(fingers crossed!)

This waffle maker is impressive! I suppose it SHOULD be, for the price. It’s replaced an ancient harvest-gold colored waffle maker my husband has had in his family for (literally) generations. For it’s first run-through, we used it to make a waffled hash browns recipe from the ol’ artery choker herself: the Pioneer Woman. On Christmas morning, it was the most popular dish. The waffles are deep (think Belgian) and the run-over tray is absolutely delightful. No more waffle batter running sluggishly along the sides of the iron. The iron beeps when it’s ready and beeps when it’s finished. Still experimenting with temperature control for the perfect waffle color. I guarantee this waffle maker will become our next generational kitchen heirloom. So. Happy. #StillWinning

We love this waffle maker. It may require a few times to adjust the setting to your liking but the waffles come out beautiful. Easy clean up. It does take up a bit of storage space so check the measurements before purchasing. If it is too big, they do make a smaller one.

My wife has been curious about a waffle maker for the last year so I surprised her with this one for the holidays. She loves it. Not only is she making these delicious gluten-free Belgium’s, she’s making sandwiches, quesadillas, eggs, hash browns and pretty much anything you can think of.. our only downside is an easy way to clean as the irons can not be removed. *tip – use a tea kettle, heat up water and pour into trays, let sit a bit and then pour out and wipe.

This is my third Breville small kitchen appliance (along with toaster oven and tea maker), and every one of them has been outstanding. I scoop 1/2 cup of batter into each section of the waffle iron, close the lid, wait for the beep, and the waffles cook perfectly. I’ve long been looking for a waffle iron that makes deep restaurant-style waffles, and finally I’ve found it. Clean up is a snap, just wipe out with a a cloth once it has cooled down a bit. Be aware the this appliance is large and heavy, but that’s the trade-off for the job it does. I couldn’t be more pleased.

After going through about 5 different waffle makers over the years, this one ranks the best. The price is hard to swallow but the quality of construction, simple controls, well thought out design works really well for me. Granted, the size and weight will get you an initial stare from your spouse, but after eating crisp golden Belgium waffles, everything will be good. If you have a small kitchen/counter-top, you’ll need to account for this. Cooking time is ~2 minutes at medium setting. We often have family dinner waffles every few weeks, and this unit can churn them out fast.

Our family has been looking for a really good waffle maker for a while now.and we have found what we needed with this one. It may be a bit expensive but it’s worth every dollar. The waffles are crispy on the outside and fluffy.on the inside. It’s been easy to use and super easy to clean.
