I do not write a lot of reviews because I do not feel like it or I do not have the time. I am a very busy man but I must say this product is worth writing about. Its funny but I do not drink coffee. However, I have always loved espressos. They are smooth and get you going fast. A German friend of mine recommended this to me. I do not like the mess or hassle of making espressos. This machine is simply amazing. It takes up zero space and spits out high quality espressos so fast it will make your head spin! I highly recommend it for the people who hate mornings and need to get going fast. I have already bought 100 of my favorite capsules and plan to buy many more. This little guy comes with a variety pack of capsules and lets you try them all. You will know real soon which flavors you love. If I could give this nespresso more than 5 stars I would. I will be buying another one for my accountant buddy in the near future.

So far love this thing. I got the fillable cups with the stickers you put over top. Works great. You can then use fresh high quality coffee in there with great results. Even with expensive $20 per 12oz coffee it’s still under 50 cents a pod which is better than the 75cents for the name brand ones and about the same as the no name or off brand cups.

I bought this machine on a special half-price deal from Amazon. I thought I would use it only a short time while my $2K DeLonghi coffee machine was being repaired. It took 6 months for the repair (DeLonghi is slow to send parts for discontinued machines). The Essenza probably gets used 10 times a day in our house. It warms up fast and quickly makes a great shot of espresso with outstanding crema (if you use good quality coffee). I read some of the negative reviews and haven’t experienced any of the issues they highlight. The quality of the machine construction is good (remember I only paid $60 for it – so my expectations weren’t high but they were greatly exceeded). It gets used a lot and the last coffee I made with it is as good as the first one I made with the machine. It doesn’t require as much “care and feeding” as my big coffee machine. You put water in it, put in a capsule, press a button and you get a good cup of coffee. In all honesty, I like the coffee from the Essenza better than the coffee from the DeLonghi, primarily due to the fact that the Essenza produces a “hotter” cup of coffee. I run the DeLonghi on its highest temperature setting and I still find the coffee from it a little too tepid for my taste. My only real complaint is the cost of the capsules… Nespresso took a page from the “computer printer” playbook. The machines are cheap but the ink cartridges aren’t. Fortunately I found that a “well-known” Italian coffee company makes a compatible capsule that cost about 30% less. I tried some of the other compatible capsules on the market and sold by Amazon but L’s are the best. Now that I have my mega-buck DeLonghi back (I shouldn’t dump on it so much, I like it a lot but its a complicated machine and it did get a lot of use for 3 years before a circuit board went out) I will probably reserve the Essenza for making some of the interesting specialty coffees that Nespresso markets, like the African and Cuban varieties… those are really good btw.

I have a love/hate relationship with pod-based coffee. Several times I’ve bought a Keurig or Nespresso for the convenience and because I found pods that sounded good, then I was disappointed with the taste compared to freshly-ground whole bean coffee, and eventually abandoned it. This is my third Nespresso, and the cycle has gone around again. I found my favorite coffee (Starbucks Guatamala Antigua) available in Nespresso pods, so I bought this tiny Breville. I LOVE how small it is. Considering pretty much every Nespresso does the same thing, might as well get it as small as possible. But at the end of the day, the espresso it brews is vastly inferior to freshly ground. I know what Guatemala Antigua smells and tastes like, and what the Nespresso is pumping out sadly isn’t that.

I have used a Nespresso D90 Essenza nearly everyday for 11 years with no issues. Recently it started leaking so I bought this Essenza Mini by Breville. Sold brand new by Amazon Prime directly. Received on December 10, 2018. The welcome coffee kit contains 14 pods. The Amazon description states 16. The coffee already expired on November 30, 2018. Manufacture date was January 26, 2018. The $10.00 coffee purchase coupon expired October 1, 2018. When you insert the coffee pod it falls straight down. It needs to be inserted at an angle and held till the lever is closed. If you remove the drip tray the entire front (tray and capsule container) falls apart. Otherwise the machine works fine and I will probably keep it so long as it works. It must have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for several months. Old unused stock.

Quality little machine. Smaller than I expected but huge flavor. I was much happier though because it took up way less space than my Keurig. Way better and cheaper espresso than Starbucks in my opinion. Taking a break from my keurig for awhile. I’m in espresso heaven! I bought this on a lightning deal for an unbelievable price! Couldn’t be happier!

We decided to get an Essenza Mini (Breville) because of its sleek modern look. We saw it on our last visit to the Nespresso boutique and for the months following I had been thinking it’s super-compact size would fit us better. We had-had an Innisia (DeLonghi) for years, the vibration from it was loud enough to wake the whole home. Of course the noise is to be expected from an espresso machine, but over time our Innisia became too loud for the morning calm.Black Friday sales galore and the Essenza Mini came home with us. At almost half the size of the Innisia, the platform at which your cup sits on is surprisingly tall enough to fit a standard size mug for your frothy latte. This can be done without having to lift or remove any parts from the machine like in the Innisia. It is much quieter and vibrates less and much easier to keep clean. Our Innisia had many books and crannies that got funky over time unless you gave it a good brush. The mechanism for the pod has a nice machine gun “clunk” to it, however it is missing the nice “pop” sound the Innisia makes when it punctures the coffee pod right before extraction. The coffee pods seem less prone to getting stuck compared to the Innisia. Oftentimes we are fishing for pods that didn’t drop in properly or got stuck dropping out. This has yet to happen with the Essenza MiniCréma is good, almost better than other machines I’ve used and as long as you’re using Nespresso branded coffee pods the taste is always as good to be expected.Overall it’s compact, no-nonsense and quality crafted as you would expect from both Nespresso and Breville.

Taste is very good, also ease of use. But operating noise is disconcerting. Also recycling bag was not included with first order as promised, and when I enquired, discovered that I would have to drive into the nearest city in order to recycle…in busy times could mean at least a one hour return trip. Very disappointing…I’ll have to find some other product.

This was a Christmas present for my husband and he absolutely loves it. The espresso is delicious and strong. The machine works quickly and efficiently. The small size fits perfectly in our galley kitchen. Nespresso also has a wide range of coffee to choose from. The starter pack that comes with the Essenza machine was very helpful in taste testing. Definitely worth the cost!

This is the quietest espresso machine I have come across. It’s noticeably quieter than other Nespresso models, and immensely quieter than my “real” espresso machine with grinder. It’s great for that early morning cup without waking up the entire house. In addition the design is elegant and very compact. It’s very easy to use and program.

Big upgrade from a tassimo and keurig. Though pods can be expensive from nespresso, their are third party cups available that are just as good.

Nice coffee, can even buy 3rd party reusuable pods if you google. Wish it was quieter though. Pretty loud early in the morning.
