I used to love this juicer. I’ve had it for 2 years, and I use it off and on. Sometimes for 6 weeks with tons of juicing, then it sits and collects dust for a few months. Recently, it has kept stopping, popping the lid off, leaking, and the pulp doesn’t go through the chute. Also, the juice gets clogged and doesn’t come out. I am so disappointed. For how much this costs and how little I use it, it should have lasted much longer. Thanks to the basically worthless 1 year warranty, I’m left juicer shopping.

I don’t know where these good reviews are coming from, but I have owned this item for over a year now and it’s awful. It is VERY temperamental; meaning your items have to be prepped just right or it can’t handle them. It jams from even a small item. Does not assemble or disassemble easily. Cleanup is a nightmare and takes at least 30 minutes. You also have to soak the basket because there are small areas the brushes and dishwasher can’t get buildup out of. Overall, this is truly a disappointment and we will be moving on to a better made product.

Are you tired of wet pulp in the catch bin on your centrifugal juicer? No one wants fresh spun Orange Juice, it’s all about the SQUEEZE, and that’s what you get here. The prep work is longer than a centrifugal juicer, and you do have to put the victims (ahem, vegetables) in more delicately, but the taste, texture, and nutritional difference will keep you coming back for more. The juices also last longer because the ingredients aren’t exposed to the air as much as with a centrifugal type. This unit is very quiet. I’m not sure what to compare it to, maybe an ant hill rock concert. It won’t wake you up, but you’ll wanna shake your thorax if you’re in the kitchen.Beware: Juicing recipes may have to be halved using this juicer! You get so much more out of each chunk than you ever have before. The biggest con would be the cleaning. But really, if you start filling up the sink with soapy hot water while you’re chopping your ingredients, it’s not bad. You’ll thank yourself for not letting it sit dirty for too long. It comes with a brush that really gets into the mesh that keeps the pulp from getting into your juice. (pulp in juice can make it harder for your body to absorb the nutrients)Do your body a favor and take a chance with a hot little juicer named Breville BJS600XL Fountain Crush Masticating Slow Juicer.

This is an excellent machine. Highly recommended for anyone desiring to make juices.I have found that some ingredients need to be cut into smaller pieces than I expected. For example, carrots and beets, or anything that is hard. If you don’t the machine will make very loud crunching sounds, and it will probably get stuck. The reverse switch is handy, but I think it’s best to take the little extra time so that you don’t have to use it.I have also found that cutting stringy or stalky items into very short pieces is less likely to result in clogging the exit chute. It took me a few uses to realize that the handle of the screen cleaning brush is good for clearing out the exit chute if stringy materials start to build up too much.Cleanup is quick. The parts assemble and disassemble easily. Give the screen, especially the lower part, a careful cleaning.

Wonderful appliance, we made already many juices, they are simply delicious! I am impressed by this juicer, it is silencious, easy to use and to clean if you do it immediately and by hand! No dishwasher! You can buy plastic and biodegradable bags on this site to not have to deal with the wastes! A brush is included to clean the mini holes of the filter basket and the screw is really easy to deal with but be careful it is heavy (Do not drop it). On the on/off button you have also a direction control in case the fruits would be blocked into the screw. In general you do not need to “push” the fruits into the hopper they are like aspired! When I have no more fruits I pour a glass of water into the juicer to rince it and it also helps to clean (I have already poured my juice into glasses so the plastic bowl is empty)First prepare the fruits you want to use, clean them and cut them into pieces (you cannot use an entire apple for example, it has to be into quarters) if your fruits are bio just wash them carefully and do not peel them! It would have been great to have a mini book with recipes ideas from Breville but it is ok! I did not put any leaves like kale, etc. but it is possible! At least this juicer is very efficient as the pulp is completely dry! Even if it is a slow masticating (and consequently better than another kind of juicer) it is not that slow to make a juice, a few minutes and you can enjoy the fruit of your labor! It takes nothing really, even to clean!Great product for whoever loves home made fruit juices, natural and healthy (no sugar or corn syrup!)Take season fruits so it costs less money, but remember to extract seeds, etc or you could damage the appliance and prepare your fruits before switching on!!! Never put the fruits before the engine is on, and switch it off when you do not have fruits anymore and once you have poured a glass of water to rince the appliance! The engine is 240 W and warrantee= 10 years. Remember to umplug when you take the accessories off (filter, screw, etc.)Enjoy, it is a great great purchase for everybody!!!

Lasted 2 years. Bought it for 299 in 2016 so quite surprised to see the price today. Maybe some new upgrades?Problem now is that the whole machine is getting unstable and sometimes it blocked with a Big Bang and the top lock pops up. It still works but not sure for how long. Wish there was a list of spare parts or instructions on how to fix it. Not worth today’s price of 699. But I give 3 stars as I got it for 299 in 2016.

I love this juicer! Even though it is slower than a centrifugal juicer, it is worth the little extra time, you get so much more juice out of the fruits/veggies, and the pulp is dry! I had a juicer before that said it’s pulp would be dry but it lied. This juicer actually has dry pulp, I couldn’t believe how much juice I had in the pitcher and how little pulp I had in the pulp container. I don’t find it any harder to clean than other juicers, plus you get a handy brush to clean it with which makes it easier. I would recommend this juicer to anyone who doesn’t mind a little extra prep for the fruits/veggies to get ALOT more juice for their money. Also I was so happy to be able to get alot of juice out of my greens, this juicer does an exceptional job at juicing greens. Only tip I would have to give you is if you are juicing celery, it might be an idea to take the stringy stuff off first, it gets a little caught up in the bottom, but I have found that if you just run a carrot through after celery if you don’t take off the stringy stuff it clears that out pretty well.

Had it for 2 weeks and going strong juicing everyday. No major complains and it’s been easy to clean and wonderful to use.Tip:When juicing something with high water content, juice slowly. If you overwhelm the auger and filter with too much juice it will leak out the bottom and may possibly come in contact with the motor.

Juice does taste better with slow juicing! I have used this on and off whenever I feel like starting a healthier diet, the juicer is my go to. I recently bought a vitamix as well, but I like green juice much more than green smoothies. I can fit a lot more greens in a glass of juice than smoothie. Just tastes less green IMO (if that makes sense). But as other reviewers have mentioned, this is best when you juice a variety of veggies and/fruits. I find if I consistently juice apples together, it becomes more of a paste. Carrots are great to juice with anything I find. The hard nature of the carrot pieces just seem to clean the insides of the juicer so that other fruits/ veggies you throw in just comes out smoother. Just throw a piece of carrot in after every few pieces of softer veggies/fruits. I find washing this juicer much easier than the centrifugal juicer I had before as well. After I finish juicing, I run a glass if water through before I turn it off. This makes cleaning a little easier as it pushes out most of the remaining pulp out. Of course the cleaning time is much longer than cleaning my blender for sure. I find that it’s difficult to juice in the morning because it takes longer to prep, but when I have time indefinitely like this juicer more than my vitamix.

I strongly recommend this product to anyone interested in juicing. I used to have a centrifugal juicer and this is much better and at 50% off it is a great price. It gets stuck sometimes but the reverse function fixes the problem right away. Sometimes food gets stuck above the blade but you just open it, remove the item and reprocess it. It’s never not processed something after a second try so if you are worried about the price of fruits and vegetables you won’t be with this juicer.

We used it every day for 2 years before the main plastic housing cracked. One of the main issues was it jammed up regularly. We had to buy a replacement from a Brevile at full price for the housing and gifted the juicer to a friend they wouldn’t be using it daily. We switched to Omega and will never look back – 3 plus years going strong with Omega and it basically never jams up and it rock solid reliable. Avoid Breville!

I’ve been using for one month – almost daily and juicing for two, so about 3 – 4 L / day. Works very well and only had to use overheat/reset switch twice after long use on hard veggies like sweet potato and squash. There are many parts to clean and so it isn’t a quick thing to set up or clean and re-assemble, it re-assembles easily and as described but it isn’t quick and there are a number of bits. Most challenge has been keeping celery/fennel fibres clearing into pulp bin and have discovered that LONG sticks of celery should not be fed since long shreds of fibre clog the pulp output. Best to chop celery into pieces no more than 3″/10cm so that they can freely clear the chute and not get entangled in the exit mechanism. Other than that – citrus juicing has been great too, something my entry level Moulinex extraction juicer couldn’t handle. This juicer does pass quite a bit of pulp into juice and at times have used a secondary strainer to thin the juice so that it is clearer – but that’s a matter of preference. Fave juice is cucumber and honeydew melon; No;2 is celery, green apple and fennel. Not many recipes in the instruction booklet (actually none) so plan to do some research online or buy a recipe book. But first 15 day juice fast, – 10 lbs; so gotta love that!

So I was sort of talked into buying a juicer, which isn’t exactly the best or most useful appliance to begin with. You really gotta ask yourself, am I going to use this thing? Seriously. Anyway I bought one and hardly use it anymore because fruits and vegetables are so pricey. Grow your own is my advice. Why does fresh produce have to carry such a heavy price tag while junky crap gets away with being cheap? I get you can mass produce shyte with a long ass shelf life and poor nutrition and generate more profit easier because less product expires. Any way, I digress, this thing will juice about anything you throw in it, just feed it slowly, and you’ll get some nice pulpy juice. Oh ya, you don’t like pulp? piss off! this thing packs in the pulp like you’re an octogenarian on a high fibre diet. That’s not a bad thing necessarily, just for my pulp free brethren, I’m giving you this warning. My only issue is the clear plastic housing has now developed a crack near where it locks onto the base. It still works, but I notice it everytime I use it and wonder how long it will last. Honestly if it just breaks I’m not going to replace it, I’ll just squeeze my produce until juice comes out. Am I talking about fruit or my body parts?4 stars because it cracked and carrot juice is too pulpy from this

I have bought a lot of juicers and was dissatisfied with most of them. Hard to clean was at the top of my list. Doesn’t extract the juice was second on my list. Until now. I washed my new Breville up and juiced a whole organic pineapple and two large organic oranges. The juice was delicious, not pulpy. It extracted a large portion of the juice. It was quiet when I was using it. The test was the cleaning, it cleaned up like a dream. Wish I’d found this juicer a long time ago. Love it, love it, love it!

i’ve had this for months and it works great. I chop up celery into small pieces, because the threads on the celery can clog the machine. I use it for all kinds of veggies and fruits, including soft fruit and it makes the best juice. I’m so glad I spent the money on this machine. All the parts can go in the dishwasher as well, and cleanup is pretty easy. All parts fit well together and I never have any leakage.
