This is my third Breville juicer. I was not 100% happy with the Elite model (a little messy and awkward) and even the Duo (threw giant chunks of produce violently into the pulp bin), but trusted I had the best option available. Periodically, I pondered making a switch from the centrifugal to a masticating juicer — but I knew all that peeling and tedious chopping wouldn’t work for me. I continued to hold out for a new Breville model. I kept coming across this Juice Fountain Cold, but the much lower cost whispered “lower quality” and so I passed it up. Until now. All I can say is “wow.” I’m so impressed! This juicer is amazing! It’s soooo much quieter, lighter weight and efficient than the Elite or Duo. The larger pitcher and angle of the juice output spout alone were worth the change. But the juice, oh! the juice! It’s simply lovely. Deeper, richer, brighter colors and so much…um…juicier taste. Plus, the “hood” fits into the pulp bin like a glove. No splattered bits and pieces whizzing across my kitchen. I wish all the non-motorized parts were dishwasher safe (the hood and pitcher aren’t). But a little washing up is a small price to pay for such an improved juicing experience. I couldn’t be happier.

This juicer was a complete bust. While it was fast and easy to use. The waste pulp was way too wet.I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t a matter of user error, so I tried different sizes and shapes for the fruits and veges I would feed into the chute. I noticed on my first few runs, that inserting smaller pieces would inevitably result in them shooting almost immediately, partially chewed, into the waste bucket. I then start leaving them larger and larger, so they would have direct pressure from the plunger, almost holding them in place against the blade. I would still wind up with pretty large pieces of fruit or vegetable in the basket. I also tried using carrots, celery, apples, cucumbers, beets, cactus fruit, lettuce, kale, cabbage, collard greens, etc. Large portions of my input would just wind up in the waste basket. The pieces that did caught in the blade would consistently end up really wet and in the basket. The last two times I used the juicer, I squeezed the pulp in a cheesecloth and was able to get a considerable amount of juice out of it. I have included a picture of the last juice output. In an attempt to fill the pitcher, I juiced enough fruits and vegetables to get the pitcher approximately 75 percent full. I then dug into the basket and started squeezing the waste. I was able to squeeze an additional 2 cups of juice out of the pulp. I have included a picture of the juice level in the pitcher and what would have been thrown away had I not gone back for the second squeeze.I called Breville to see if they had any advice. Their customer service never answered the phone. I placed four phone calls. For two of those calls, I waited on hold for a representative that never answered. For the other two calls, I took the option of getting a call back. I left my phone number and never got a return call.I had an old centrifugal juicer some years back. I got rid of it because it was too loud and it would shake while it was spinning. It made me feel like it was going to explode or tear my countertop apart.I soon after bought a masticating juicer. The juice that it produced was great. The pulp was always dry, BUT I hated cutting the pieces up into little bite sized morsels. It felt like such a waste of time.I moved over to this Breville because I wanted to be able to throw giant pieces into the chute to save time and energy. Truth of the matter is, the time you save not cutting up vegetables, gets spend squeezing out pulp. If you don’t squeeze out your pulp with this thing then you are basically throwing money away every time you make a juice. Juicing is already kindof expensive as it is. To know that you are getting maybe 60 percent usage of your produce is too unnerving for me to deal with.I went back to my masticating juicer.

If you want speed over quality and quantity, then this is the juicer for you. I have been using this juicer for about 3 weeks. I do not like the wet pulp. I have done everything that is recommended to remedy the wet pulp issue and I still continue to have the same issue. This does not juice kale leaves or spinach. I was really disappointed in that. If you are going to juice kale, then use the whole stalk. I still got very little juice out of kale. Spinach would do nothing in this juicer. Apples and other fruits were perfect for this juicer. I will recommend this only if you want a fast juicer and if you are mainly juicing fruit. If you are a serious juicer and want your greens, then do not buy this juicer. I just purchased the new Omega 900. Now that’s a juicer!!

Love it. I’m constantly experimenting with new combinations. For now, the winner recipe includes 50% carrots, 25% apples and 25% oranges. Here are two life hacks:Some consumers commented on the foam you get when making orange juice. I always peel oranges before extracting juice. Just use a knife to peel/cut away most of the orange and white skin around the fruit and you will get juice that is much smoother and less bitter. You know oranges are waxed and sprayed and otherwise treated to increase shelf life. If I’m peeling carrots, why wouldn’t I peel oranges? It only adds about one minute to my prep time and it makes a huge difference in taste and texture. If you are worried about extracting juice from carrots, because they stain: squeeze an orange or apple into your carrot juice. It adds flavor, tang, a little bite, and it will clean the blades and strainer of carrot stuff. Then wash all parts immediately, instead of throwing into dishwasher. Use your regular dish brush on everything. If you are considering cost: a 10-oz ounce of freshly squeezed juice anywhere will cost $8-10. Do the math.Hope it lasts.

I’ve been wanting a juicer for a while but everyone always said it was a beast to clean and so much work involved. After reading tons of reviews, I finally decided to go with the Breville Cold Fountain and it was well worth the money. So simple to use and clean up is a breeze. Definitely nothing like what I’ve heard abojt juicers. The trick is to clean the juicer as soon as you’re done juicing and to use the included brush on the mesh filter!

We love love our juicer! we bought to start doing celery juice in the mornings on a empty stomach and it has turned into juicing meal replacement for breakfast and or lunch! The celery juice is cold when we drink it, doesn’t heat up your fruits or veggies. Easy to clean, easy to put back together. We are enjoying incorporating more juicing into our lifestyle to consume more veggies and get those micro-nutrients from them! My husband says best Amazon purchase to date!

After more than a year with it and having already replaced the filter cup due to dull blades at $53.and just a few months later already needing to replace the blades again, I’ve learned that not only does this juicer lack quality to endure, it wastes ALOT of product. Most of the juice does in fact remain in the pulp. Also, the juice spout is extremely hard to clean and so remains only rinsed for the large part. I’m in the market for a new one. You can my early enthusiasm for this juicer down below.”I was formerly using the Norwalk juicer which does everything it’s supposed to do – extract the most juice possible while minimizing oxidization in the two-step process. HOWEVER, I needed to set aside a good hour to juice. So… juicing rarely got done. Not to mention how cost-prohibitive this top of the line machine is.My beautiful new Breville Juice Fountain Cold on the other hand… my veggies go from being rinsed to pressed in under 10 minutes! One step juicing is going to save my life. I no longer need additional time to get it done. This juicer is easy to use, easy to clean up and inexpensive. I LOVESSSS IT! xxo! Yes, I kissed and hugged my juicer.”

this is a juicer that can make large amounts of juice at a time or as little as a single glass. It’s super easy to use and not difficult to clean. love that you can make a whole jug at a time. The pulp is damp.. not dry but not wet either. It does whole fruits and veggies with ease. The ONLY issue I have had with it is that when making large batches, sometimes the pulp can get backed up a bit and I have to stop the machine and push the pulp through to the pulp container and restart. This has only happened a couple of times ( usually bc I’ve been going too fast and over filled the feeding chute) and we have used it every single day for several months. Overall great juicer that makes juicing a breeze.UPDATE.. early December this juicer just stopped. no power, no juicing it just stopped. I thought maybe it had come unplugged but no. Only lasted 6 months and we are not hard on stuff. took very good care of it. Contacted Breville and they are sending a new upgraded version, Really disappointed in the machine but the Breville rep was great. update.. we thought they were sending an updated version but when it arrived it was the exact same model.UPDATE # 2 well my replacement juicer only lasted 9 months. The first one the on off switch came loose and now the arm that clicks in place has come loose at the connection to the machine. The company has offered me another one. (must be the same model they say) Maybe third time is a charm? I must send it back and they will ship me a new one. What a pain so I will be without one again for several weeks. I am happy that they are trying to make this right but these are for sure not their best made machines. Neither has even lasted even through the one year warranty period. While we do use it often (every other day) I not overzealous or hard on appliances. This is just not up to Breville’s usual standards.

I received it yesterday. And, I am highly disappointed. It does not extract juice properly. It is relatively better for carrot; but, horrible for oranges and pomegranate. When it comes to pomegranate and oranges, it is like 75% of the juice goes into the ‘trash’ container. I even recycled the ‘trash’ container to get more out of it. But, it is of no good.

This is my first juicer but by all accounts, it is great. Easy to get started with and clean-up is a snap. I do like others and line the bin with plastic bags which helps speed up clean-up. Pulp is mostly dry though I have found some vegetables/fruit tend to result in wetter pulp. All-in-all, I would recommend this to someone wanting to get started with juicing.

Love the amount of Juice this gets out of the fruits and vegetables, no complaints here, best purchase of 2017! sure you can spend less but it’s true you get what you pay for, tried a cheaper version, got far less juice and it lasted 5 months.. bought this and have not looked back.

Doesn’t extract juices that well… it still leaves whole fruit slices so I have to put it through a couple of times.
