Love the mixer, but the rubber on the beaters is coming off. It’s dangerous to have plastic pieces coming off in food. I contacted the company and they aren’t able to send me new beaters. My HAMILTON mixer cost $20.00 and lasted 18 years without any issues. This is an expensive mixer!!! I would not splurge on a Breville mixer.

It is wonderful to use but the rubber on one of the beaters is wearing down to the metal, I also had to trim loose bits of black rubber because I didn’t want them to detach and get mixed in with my cake batter.I believe in spending the little extra for quality products, I wish the rubber around the beaters lasted a little more than a few months, aside from that, the light and ease of changing speeds make this hand mixer wonderful to use.Update: I will be contacting the seller or Breville and will update my rating according to their response.

I really love this mixer already. I made meringue in a shorter times using the double whisks, versus the many minutes I spent using my old mixer. It is easy to operate, just move the wheel forward to increase the speed. I love the pause button too, so that I can add more sugar to my egg whites and then just press the pause button again to start at the speed I was at.I was afraid the mixer would be heavy but I didn’t notice it being heavy and I’m 61 with some arm weakness.I was also worried about the beaters with the rubber on them. They looked cumbersome to use so I was at first reluctant to purchase this mixer because of that but seeing them in person, I can see that they won’t interfere with mixing at all, as they fit like a glove and they glide easily along the surface of the bowl just like any other beater.I researched the 3 main companies and Breville has the highest wattage off all the mixers, versus Cuisinart and Kitchen Aid. I just returned the newest 9-speed Kitchen Aid mixer because the buttons were hard to push and I was ecstatic when I saw that Breville had a thumb wheel that was simple and easy to use. This mixer is really beautiful and looks better than the website image. I was impressed upon opening the box. The beaters and attachments are nice also, and you can tell they are well made. I’m very happy with it so far.

Most probably the best hand mixer out there in both design and features. Even though it has a plastic housing it is a little heavier than most hand mixers, but this gives it a very solid built feeling to it. The beaters are very thick and strongly built, so are the dough hooks. The wire whisks are nice too. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. I took it out of the box and had no problem operating it without reading instructions. Unless you use the pause feature it always starts on the very low setting to avoid splashes. And low is truly low. The count up timer is nice. The pause feature is also nice. When using the pause feature and you start it back up it remembers the speed you were using and goes back to that speed as well as the counter resumes. The LED light is a nice feature and I like the fact that it only turns on when running the mixer and during pause. When you turn the mixer off the light goes out. With some appliances the light comes on when plugged in and stays on until you unplug it. The rotary push up speed dial works perfectly. You press it down to get the boost feature. Now to the boost feature: This is the only feature that could have been designed better. Pushing boost advances the mixer to the highest speed while pressing down on the dial no matter what speed you are using. For example if you are on low speed one, boost will advance it to speed nine. A better design would have been to just boost it one or two speeds ahead. If you are mixing dry ingredients on speed one and need a little more power, move it to speed two, not boost or you will get a big surprise. In my opinion boost is not even needed. Just dial it up. I have compared this mixer with two top brands that start with K and with C. This mixer is superior to both of them in both design, features and quality. I have used both of the other brands. If this mixer holds up it will be by far the best. Unfortunately to get all of these wonderful features a lot of electronics are used in mixers these days in all of the top of the line brands. If the electronics hold up in this mixer I hope to be using it for many years to come. It is not as simple as a mechanical on/off switch and speed dial anymore. The mixer is also pretty quiet for a mixer with this power. It has no sharp or high pitched whining sound. For power the mixer out there that is similar to this one is the C brand but not nearly as many helpful features. This mixer is expensive but if your need is for a powerful feature laden hand mixer and also an executive look, this is the one. Everything including the cord will pack away in the storage bin that the mixer attached to. This unit has a very heavy duty cord that swivels to the left and right of the mixer and locks in place. Even the plug is top of the line. It has a hole in the center for easy grasping. Make you think you are in Europe. I can recommend this mixer for all except for maybe an elderly individual with arthritis in their hands that may have trouble with the added weight. While not what I would call heavy it is definitely heavier than your average hand mixer.

this thing has it all, it has a light which I thought, who cares but it turns out I do, its one of my favorite things now.. how did I get along without it? it has a pause function where you go right back to the speed you were on, one of the biggest things that bothered me on the kitchenaid hand mixers is they shut off and you would have to go through all the speeds again! to get where you were at, it has a timer that tells you how long you have been mixing and substantial dough hooks that really cut the mustard lol.. its worth the money and it feels like it will last forever.. its the best well made hand mixer I have found. I love the two whisks as well, usually you only get one and let me tell you two make a difference.. alot faster. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this mixer. I paid $99 plus for a 9 speed kitchenaid that wasn’t anywhere near as well made as this, and lasted half as long.. I don’t think you will be sorry.. Breville makes really good products I think, after having this, I will look more into their other things. I think its worth it.

I can’t say enough good things about this mixer! If I had to pick a favorite feature I think it would be how quiet it is. Additionally, I love: it has a light to illuminate your mixing bowl, all the attachments store conveniently with it, it has a swivel cord, stands up easily, releases the attachments with the pull of a button, and has multiple speed settings with pause and burst options. I also really love the “count up” feature that tells me how long I’ve been mixing something. The amount of baking I do has increased significantly due to the purchase of this mixer, I love it so much, I am always looking for new recipes to use it with!

I have own for 10 years a $20 hand mixer, it did the job, got my moneys worth, but it was so noisy that nobody in the house could hear themselves talking.Anyway when the latest broke down I was shopping to get another one, I search for a long time, I was willing to pay more, to get something better quality. It is by ‘accident’ I found this Breville, I was mainly shopping for the other very popular brand (KA), but I saw a comment from someone recommending this one instead.Extremely happy for this find, yes more expensive, but if you intend to use it, just go for it. Very good quality, this thing is so quiet. Power and speed is great and I love the tiny digital screen, the option to pause while you had more ingredient.LOVE IT! Did I say it was really quiet too?! Highly recommend it!

I never had a hand mixer until I won a cheap one in an Xmas regift office game. I loved it, but then the plastic gears wore down and the beaters would no longer spin. So I wanted another hand mixer. And I wanted it to be a BEAST!Look no further! Though it is quiet as a mouse, and tiny in size and perhaps light in feel, this mixer is a powerhouse! It even has a light on it so you can mix in the dark (I’m sure that’s not the intended purpose)!I am very happy with this quiet beast. Design of attachments makes them very easy to clean. If you like to mix and want a hand mixer, this is the one!

If you need a hand mixer, it’s worth every single penny.I have had two other hand mixers in the past, both have potentially left me with partial deafness because they were so loud. The whole neighbourhood would come knocking, knowing that I’m baking. This one? Pure silence. Quiet yet very performant. To my surprise, when I turned it on the first time there was a light beaming over my buttercream frosting. Yes. A light. I guess I haven’t fully read the specs and just based my purchase on the dozens of positive review of that product. So I squealed like a little girl. Now I can make all the cookies and frosting without worrying of having the neighbourhood over to “just have one”, listen to my music without having to wear noise cancelling headphones. Hell, I will probably even be able to make breakfast with that beast without waking up everybody.

Tired of small appliances that are cheaply made and don’t last more than a few years, we are much happier since we discovered Breville small appliances. Yes, they cost considerably more, but we love the quality and feel that we will have them for many, many years. This mixer is awesome. We especially like the quietness and the lower speeds, which keeps your mix from flying out of the bowl and making a mess. The light is a nice feature and the beaters release easily when you are done. All in all, a 5-star appliance we feel is worth the investment.

My wife does a lot of baking and when I surprised her with this new mixer she was amazed . It is everything in the description and more . She loves all the features and is especially grateful for the led light so that she can see exactly how well the ingredients are combining . Her friends are envious when she shows it off to them . It is a little more expensive than other premium mixers but the price difference pales in regard to the features and performance .

I love this hand mixer. It is such a great product made of high quality materials and works well. The like the design and I am pretty sure who ever designed this product thought of everything. The tiny LED display has a black background with white display which is really elegant. Its true that the price of this product is a bit high but I spent it thinking it would be a great addition for my kitchen which would last for many years.Comes with three really helpful whisks and a storage container on which the mixer sits.Great product, highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this frequently for over 2 months and there is nothing I don’t like about it. Great features are: the low noise level (it’s SO quiet even the cats don’t run for cover), the coated beaters, how effectively it whips egg whites and cream (TWO whisks for this!), and the mixing speed control (you can start slowly so ingredients don’t go flying out of the bowl). An excellent little machine all round.

First use proved that the beaters were shimmering and our of sync to the extended that the whole unit were shaking violently. When attempting to change gears one of the beaters would stop spinning. Our question is, how could a unit by price suggesting high quality standards pass through Breville’s Quality Check unnoticed?Have not had any proper use of a fully functioning unit to accurately provide a sound and true review
