I have a Honeywell and a Blueair air purifier. I prefer the Blueair over the Honeywell for a few reasons. The Blueair unit is a much quieter unit on its lowest setting. This is nice if you want to watch a movie or read a book. Also I notice a lot less dust in the living room with the Blueair unit. The only option that the Honeywell has that I would like to see integrated into the Blueair is a timer.

I will start by saying that I have never purchased an air purifier before. I wish I would have sooner. I am incredibly impressed with this purifier. I’ve had it on for a month solid because I’m living in new house with some indoor air issues, mild and lots of dust. I have an allergy to both and my daughter had been coughing since we moved in. We also had a wicked stink in the house. Could not figure out where it was coming from. We plugged with in and within a few hours you could notice the air was cleaner. It smelled nice inside and felt lighter. It’s hard to describe. Within a week the pre filter was so coated with dust and crap I was in shock! I included a photo of the predicted after a week use. It is simple, works well and I have had zero issues so far. It looks nice as well. I would highly recommend it.

Pretty happy so far, let me pass on some wisdom and save you some time on researching, as my air purification credentials are getting knee deep.Previous purchases in order of $$$: IqAir, Rabbit, Air Mega 400 (lol), Sharp Plasmacluster and the inexpensive Winix (run), and of course I’ve built my own, or assembled I should say..Anyways, the reasons I bought this unit:CADR – outperforms other similar priced air purifiers, the sq ft rating doesn’t mean anything (FYI noobs) it’s all about CADR baby.The style: this thing is a trendy little purifier.. I LOVE the sacred geometry featured on the clean fan output, sooo psychedelic. Food for thought, do you want an ugly eye sore all day for instance a classic tan Honeywell that was designed in the freakin 90’s? sure you’ll save $100 now but you’ll just cringe in dissapointment and feel immediate regret that your cheap a_s didn’t spend a few dollars more on a Blue Air.. Seriously, once you pull this baby out of the box, you’ll instantly transcend to “the guy with the cool air purifier”. 30 year old virgin? Say no more.. blue air will do all the work for ya.I should also mention that prior to purchasing this purifier, I did come across some harsh criticism regarding a “chemical odor” clearly You guys haven’t used a real carbon filter before.. as the odor emitting from this purifier just screams “charcoal”. In other words, do not worry – the smell is from the inner layer of charcoal, definitely not a chemical off-gas problem.. let me elaborate.. Most companies do the following configuration: air intake -> carbon filter -> hepa -> exhaust, whereas Blue Air units are intake -> hepa -> carbon filter -> exhaust. Blue Air did the right thing by placing the carbon filter on the inner layer of the Hepa filter, it’s merely on the inside, to effectively extend the life of the carbon media, your odor control.. Had it been on the outside of the Hepa filter.. then slowly but surely, dusty air would accumulate and completely cover the surface of the carbon therefore rendering it ineffective at elimating odors; carbon filters can only do their job if the odor molecules can make contact with the carbon media, and they can’t do that if they’re covered in dust now, can they? Absolutely not..Blue Air is effectively extending the life of the carbon filter as only clean, filtered air is passing through the carbon layer (odor molecules are smaller than dust particulates).Good job swedes!

This thing is easy on the eyes, very straightforward setup, you plug it in click a button and go on with your day. We have this in our bedroom, and within 4 hours there was a VERY noticeable difference in air quality, total 180 by the next day. As you walk from the living room into the bedroom, the odors disappear, it smells clean – almost sterile, and it feels like you’re breathing PURE O2 out of an oxygen tank. We no longer wake up with stuffy noses, we sleep better, and we don’t worry about the baby (who sleeps in our bedroom) breathing indoor pollutants.People comment on the size- we have it behind the baby’s chair and in our small room (10×12) it’s very unobtrusive. Did nothing to reduce level of VOCs in a room after buying new furniture. Set this up in the room with two different air quality monitors and ran it in high for 2 months. There was no reduction at all in VOCs. Waste of money.

I’m not sure on this unit.It’s highly rated and seems to work, but the oil smell is simply replacing other smells. Not the most pleasant experience. We’ve had it running off and on for about 48+ hrs and it has been assembled since we got it last Thursday. I’ll provide an updated review after a week or 2 of use.

Had been going back and forth with whether to buy an air purifier and exactly what one I needed. After researching a lot I decided upon this one. I was hesitant as it wasn’t the most sleek looking out of the options but with the positive reviews I thought I would give it a try. Super happy with my purchase, the coloured filters you see on the photos are removable and can be washed. Having those remove is handy as you can see all the dust that has collected on them letting you know this thing is working! I truly don’t wake up with a stuffy nose anymore and strongly believe it’s because of this. The look of it is actually not bad at all, a little big but the interchangeable filters make it fun to put on different colours. With 3 speeds the noise can be determined to your liking. My only downside with the product is the light that lets you know what speed is on does not turn off, so during the night it can be a distraction.

When the pollen outside was so bad our eyes were itchy, noses running & sneezing, we turned the two units (to cover our upper house square footage), on low for 1/2 hour and within that time our symptoms stopped. We are very impressed. The only caution is that the button in the front is very sensitive to touch and a couple of times we noticed we had accidentally turned them on. Otherwise, we are very pleased.

This was a gift to me paid for by my mother.Pros:-Works well to reduce cooking smells in my small apartment. I have to leave it on for an hour or so after I finish cooking but I don’t mind doing that.-Reasonably quiet. Settings one and two are quiet enough for me to tine out while setting three is quite loud but I use it while cooking and so the noise doesn’t really bother meCons:-Bulky and difficult to move around. I don’t use this air purifier all the time and I keep it in a spare bedroom when not using it. It’s difficult to grip anywhere and even when the top part is “locked” it can still topple off quite easily.-Replacement filters are very expensiveI would never have bought this for myself because in my opinion it’s too expensive for what it does, but it works well for what I use it for and I was happy to receive it as a gift.

I used this purifier to help with the smells that come from the outside. We are a floor apartment and we get a lot of exhaust and cigarette smoke in through the windows. Helps with dust. That issue that other reviewers were talking about of the filter sleeve having an odour is true except it goes away in like a week. You can also wash and hang dry the outside filter. Overall we like it very much.

After using this air purifier for a few months, you cant help but notice the lack of dust in the house. vacuuming has been cut in half. Prefilter on the outside of the unit can be vacuumed in place. After a few months, the filter inside the unit still looks brand new. This unit is servicing an area of 1200 sq/ft. We move it to a different area each day. It weighs nothing. quiet and highly efficient. We bought it because it was top rated from CR. Price is reasonable for what you get.
